AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE"
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF
OCTOBER, 1969, AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP,
AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF
THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE 9.096 ACRES
OF LAND OUT OF THE WILEY HARRIS SURVEY, ABSTRACT
NO. 298, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED
BELOW, FROM "I -1" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, TO
"R -2" MULTI- FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT, AS
HEREINAFTER SET FORTH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROUND ROCK, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City
Council for the purpose of changing the zoning ordinance on
the following described real estate:
BEGINNING for reference at the Southeast corner of
Wiley Harris Survey,
THENCE North for 2750.3 feet and West for 680.3 feet;
THENCE South 89° 46' West for 1391.00 feet;
THENCE South 04° 45' West for 496.32 feet;
THENCE North 89° 00' West for 258.64 fet;
THENCE North 00° 08' West for 331.90 feet;
THENCE North 77° 42' West for 122.30 feet;
THENCE North 00° 04' West for 441.55 feet;
THENCE North 74° 29' East for 125.85 feet;
THENCE North 00° 51' West for 488.00 feet;
THENCE North 63° 49' East for 194.86 feet;
THENCE North 17° 25' West for 703.95 feet to an iron
pin on the South right of way line of the Missouri - Pacific
Railroad, said point being the northwest corner of the 21
acre tract deeded to Wallace L. Luerson as recorded in Vol.
493, Page 404, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and
the northwest corner of this tract.
THENCE North 72° 35' East 600.00 feet;
THENCE South 32° 31' East for 356.02 feet;
THENCE South 22° 41' West for 198.69 feet;
THENCE South 35° 38' West for 151.75 feet;
THENCE South 49° 13'West for 190.70 feet;
THENCE South 63° 49' West for 271.59 feet;
THENCE North 17° 25' West for 703.95 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING, containing 9.096 acres of land;
AND WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed
change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning Commission
for its recommendation and report; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has approved the
changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above described
property from "I -1 ", Light Industrial District to "R -2 ",
Multi - Family Residential District, which said meeting was
held on Monday, November 6th, 1972; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission approved the
change aforesaid in the Zoning Ordinance; said approval
being given by said Commission on the 6th day of November,
1972; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Round Rock, that the Zoning Ordinance, and the
Zoning Map of the City of Round Rock, be amended so that
the property described above shall be and the same is hereby
removed from "I -1 ", Light Industrial District to "R -2 ", Multi -
Family Residential District.
The enactment of this Ordinance being necessary to the
immediate preservation of public business and to provide for
the usual daily operation of a municipal department, it is
declared to be an emergency measure, which shall have and take
effect following its present reading and adoption.
READ, PASSED and ADOPTED by unanimous vote, this the
