ORDINANCE N0. • �6 Far_ 553 3019 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIRNii TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, WI,LIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS, AND GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL FUTURE INHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID FUTURE INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF THE SAID CITY. WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly signed and acknowledged by each and every person having an interest in the following described territory, to -wit: A 0.99 acre tract situated on the Wiley Harris Survey in Williamson County, Texas; and also being a description, in one set of field notes, of the - tract that was conveyed by John D. Robertson to Evelyn R. Peters by deed dated Au,c 30, 1972, and recorded in Vol. 554, page 453, Deed :Recur -- of Williamson County, Texas; and a five (5) foci sari of', the entire side of a tract described as containing 4.58 acres in a deed from C. A. May, et a1., to MAY & MAY CONK'. CO., which deed is dated July 11, 1964, and is recorded in Vol. 470, page 12, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas. Beginning at a steel stake placed at the NE corner of tii above mentioned Peters tract for the NE corner hereof; Thence S 19 ° -00' E, at 222 feet pass the SE corner of Peters tract, which is the NE corner of said May tract., :(. at 434.8 feet in all, a steel stake placed for the SE cor.:er hereof; said point being the original SE corner of the M6y tract; Thence S 72 ° -16' 43" W five (5) feet to a steel stake; Thence N 19 ° -00' W, at 212.8 feet cross the line wh cl° O_✓i the Peters and May tracts; and at 217.8 feet a steel sit a set for an inside corner hereof; Thence 71 ° -00' W 194.3 feet to a steel stake in the eos,. ., of way line of the east frontage road of 1H 35 for the 5v corner hereof; Thence along said frontage road east right of way line, N 18 ° -50' W 206.9 feet to a steel stake marking the Nu corner of the aforementioned Peters tract for the NW corner hereof; Thence N 68 ° -05' 23" E 198.94 feet to the place of beginning, and WHEREAS, said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the City of Round Rock, Texas, is not more than one -haI_2 wog.: 666 FrFF_554 (1/2) mile in width, and is unoccupied. WHEREAS, after Notice of Public Hearing was published in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas, not more than 20 days nor less than 10 days prior to the public hearing, said petition was presented by the City Council at a public hearing on the 3rd day of October, 1974, such date being not less thanl0 and not more than 20 days from the date of publication, and WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and the arguments for and against the same the City Council has voted to grant such petition and to annex said territory to the City of Round Rock, Texas; NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas: That the following described property, to -wit: A 0.99 acre tract situated on the Wiley Harris Survey in Williamson County, Texas; and also being a description, in one set of field notes, of the tract that was conveyed by John D. Robertson to Evelyn R. Peters by deed dated August 30, 1972, and recorded in Vol. 554, page 453, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas; and a five (5) foot strip off the entire side of a tract described as containing 4.58 acres in a deed from C. A. May, et al, to MAY & MAY CONST. CO., which deed is dated July 11, 1964, and is recorded in Vol. 470, page 12, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas. Beginning at a steel stake placed at the NE corner of the above mentioned Peters tract for the NE corner hereof; Thence S 19 ° -00' E, at 222 feet pass the SE corner of said Peters tract, which is the NE corner of said May tract, and at 434.8 feet in all, a steel stake placed for the SE corner hereof; said point being the original SE corner of the May tract; Thence S 72 ° -16' 43" W five (5) feet to a steel stake; Thence N 19 W, at 212.8 feet the Peters and May tracts; and at set for an inside corner hereof; Thence 71 ° -00' W 194.3 feet to a of way line of the east frontage corner hereof; cross the line which divides 217.8 feet a steel stake was steel stake in the east right road of IH 35 for the SW Thence along said frontage road east right of way line, N 18 ° -50' W 206.9 feet to a steel stake marking the NW corner of the aforementioned Peters tract for the NW corner hereof; Thence N 68 23" E 198.94 feet to the place of beginning, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Round Rock, Williamson County, Texas, and that the boundary limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, be and the same are hereby extended to include all of the above described territory within the city limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the same shall hereinafter be included within the territorial limits of said city, and said land and the future inhabitants thereof shall hereafter be entitled to all rights and privileges of other citizens of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said city.
