for the beginning and southeast corner of the herein described tract;

line of U.S. Highway #79;
THENCE S 79 58' W 103.16' with the south line of U.S. Highway
#79 to an iron pipe found;
THENCE S 18 01' W 149.58' with the east line of said 3.15 acre
Sinclair tract to an iron pin set;
THENCE N 79° 58' E 192.98' to the place of beginning, containing
19,543 Sq. Ft. or 0.449 acres of land, more or less.
I further state to the Council that said property is either vacant and
without residents or less than (3) qualified voters reside thereon and
said property is contiguous and adjacent to the City of Round Rock, Texas.
I further request the City Council to hear this petition and the arguments
for or against the same not less than 5 nor more than 30 days after the filing

Larry C. Jackson, publisher of Round Rock Leader, who, being by me duly sworn,
upon oath deposes and says:
That the attached NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING was published in Round Rock
Leader, a newspaper published in the English language and of general circu-
lation in the City of Round Rock, Texas, and in the territory proposed to be
annexed, which said territory is described in said NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING,
in the following issue:

(Note: This notice must be published once in
a newspaper having general circulation in the
city and the territory to be annexed. The no-
tice shall be so published not more than twen-
ty days nor less than ten days prior to the
public hearing.)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS, THAT:
The City of Round Rock, Texas proposes to institute annexation proceedings
to enlarge and extend the boundary limits of said city to include the following
described territory, to wit:
Commencing for reference at an iron stake in the east right of
way line of East Frontage Road of Interstate Highway #35, for the
Southwest corner of a 3.15 acre tract of land out of the Wiley Harris
Survey in Williamson County, Texas, as described in a deed from Elmer
Hester et ux to Sinclair Refining Company as recorded in Volume 477,
Page 632, Williamson County Deed Records, said 3.15 acre tract being
a portion of a 22.0 acre tract described in a deed from Jessie
Christofferson, et al, to Elmer Hester as recorded in Volume 236,
Page 523, Williamson County Deed Records; Thence N 78° 41' E 405.0'
to an iron pin found; Thence N 18 25' W 284.72' to an iron pin set
for the beginning and southeast corner of the herein described tract;
THENCE N 18 25' W 133.26' to an iron pipe found in the south
line of U.S. Highway #79;
THENCE S 79 58' W 103.16' with the south line of U.S. Highway
#79 to an iron pipe found;
THENCE S 18° 01' W 149.58' with the east line of said 3.15 acre
Sinclair tract to an iron pin set;
THENCE N 79° 58' E 192.98' to the place of beginning, containing
19,543 Sq. Ft. or 0.449 acres of land, more or less.
A public hearing will be held by and before the City Council of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, on the 3rd day of October, 1974 at 7:00 o'clock in the
Round Rock Public Library Meeting Room of the City of Round Rock, Texas for
all persons interested in the above proposed annexation. At said time and
place all such persons shall have the right to appear and be heard. Of all
said matters and things, all persons interested in the things and matters
herein mentioned, will take notice.

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, WILLIAMSON
COUNTY, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS
OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID HEREINAFTER
DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS, AND
GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL FUTURE
INHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS
AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING
SAID FUTURE INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND
ORDINANCES OF THE SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly signed
and acknowledged by each and every person having an interest
in the following described territory, to -wit:

WHEREAS, after Notice of Public Hearing was published
in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of
Round Rock, Texas, not more than 20 days nor less than 10
days prior to the public hearing, said petition was presented
by the City Council at a public hearing on the 3rd day of
October, 1974, such date being not less than 10 and not more
than 20 days from the date of publication, and
WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and the arguments
for and against the same the City Council has voted to grant
such petition and to annex said territory to the City of
Round Rock, Texas;
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the
City of Round Rock, Texas:
That the following described property, to -wit:
Commencing for reference at an iron stake in the east
right of way line of East Frontage Road of Interstate Highway

of said city, and said land and the future inhabitants thereof
shall hereafter be entitled to all rights and privileges of
other citizens of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and shall
be bound by the acts and ordinances of said city.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the County
Clerk of Williamson County, Texas a certified copy of this
ordinance.
PASSED by an affirmative vote of all members of the City
Council, this day of October, 1974.
