AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE"
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND
DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969 BY AMENDING THE ZONING
DISTRICT MAP AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A
PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE:
TO CHANGE 6.479 ACRES OUT OF THE WILEY
HARRIS SURVEY, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS
DESCRIBED BELOW, FROM "R -1" SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO "B -2 "LCC n
BUSINESS DISTRICT, AS HEREINAFTER SET
FORTH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS:
WHEREAS an Application has been made to the City
Council for the purpose of changing the zoning ordinance
on the following described real estate;
BEING 6.479 acres out of and a part of the Wiley
Harris Survey, No. 124, and being the S.W.
portion of a 40 acre tract described in a deed
from J. A. Johnson, et ux, to 0. F. Johnson,
dated Maya, 1908, and recorded in Volume 125,
Page 498, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas
The 6.479 acre tract also being the same tract
conveyed from E. L. Kendrick, et ux to George
D. Lovett, et ux, by deed and recorded in Vol.
556, Page 131, Deed Records, Williamson County,
Texas. Surveyed on the ground on September 25,
1973, by Don H. Bizzell, Registered Professional
Engineer, and more particularly described as
follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin found, said point being
the S.W. corner of a 50 acre tract from E. B.
Burkland, et ux to Round Rock School District,
dated November 13, 1967 and recorded in Vol. 503,
Page 491 of the Deed Records of Williamson
County, Texas, said point also being in the
North Right -of -way of a county road,
THENCE N 1° 00' E., 738.61 feet to an iron pin
set near a corner post for the N.E. corner hereof;
THENCE S 73° 22' W., 399.27 feet to an iron
pin set in the East line of Cushing Street (50'
wide), for the N.W. corner hereof;
THENCE along the East side of Cushing Street, S
0° 57' W., 745.81 feet to an iron pin set for the
S.W. corner hereof;
THENCE N 72° 21' E., 400.88 feet along the North
line of a paved county road to the place of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the
proposed change in the zoning ordinance to the City
Planning Commission for its recommendation and report;
and,
WHEREAS the City Planning Commission has approved
the changing of said zoning ordinance on the above
described property from "R -1" Single Family Residential
District to "B -2" Local Business District
which said meeting was held on December 20, 1973; and,
WHEREAS the City Planning Commission approved the
change aforesaid in the zoning ordinance; said approval
being given by said commission on the 20th day of December,
1973; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Round Rock, Texas, that the zoning
ordinance and the zoning map of the City of Round Rock,
be amended so that the property described above shall be
and the same is hereby removed from "R -1" Single Family
Residential District to "B. -2" Local Business
District.
