O-75-418 - 3/13/1975BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 17, ADMINISTRATION, of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Round Rock, Texas adopted on the 2nd day of October, 1969, is hereby amended by adding a new sub - section 17.201 as follows: Sec. 17.201 A building permit can be issued only after the building official has determined that the proposed building site is reasonably safe from flooding; or if the building official finds that a flood hazard exists, then any proposed new construction or substantial improvement (including prefabricated and mobile homes) must: (a) Be designed or modified and anchored to prevent flotation, collapse, or lateral movement of the structure; (b) Use construction materials and utility equipment that are resistant to flood damage; and (c) Use construction methods and practices that will minimize flood damage. ATTEST: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969, BY AMENDING SECTION 17, ADMINISTRATION, BY ADDING A NEW SUB - SECTION 17.201, WHICH PROVIDES FOR THE BUILDING OFFICIAL TO DETERMINE THAT A PROPOSED BUILDING SITE IS REASONABLY SAFE FROM FLOODING.
