O-75-418 - 3/13/1975BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS:
Section 17, ADMINISTRATION, of the Zoning Ordinance of
the City of Round Rock, Texas adopted on the 2nd day of
October, 1969, is hereby amended by adding a new sub - section
17.201 as follows:
Sec. 17.201 A building permit can be issued only after
the building official has determined that the proposed
building site is reasonably safe from flooding; or if the
building official finds that a flood hazard exists, then
any proposed new construction or substantial improvement
(including prefabricated and mobile homes) must:
(a) Be designed or modified and anchored to prevent
flotation, collapse, or lateral movement of the structure;
(b) Use construction materials and utility equipment
that are resistant to flood damage; and
(c) Use construction methods and practices that will
minimize flood damage.

BY AMENDING SECTION 17, ADMINISTRATION, BY ADDING
A NEW SUB - SECTION 17.201, WHICH PROVIDES FOR THE
BUILDING OFFICIAL TO DETERMINE THAT A PROPOSED
BUILDING SITE IS REASONABLY SAFE FROM FLOODING.
