O-75-420 - 5/8/1975ATTEST: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969, BY AMENDING SECTION 17, ADMINISTRATION, BY ADDING A NEW SUB- SECTION 17.202, WHICH PROVIDES FOR THE REQUIREMENT THAT PROOF OF LIABILITY AND WORKMAN'S COMPENSATION INSURANCE BE SUBMITTED TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL PRIOR TO THE ISSUANCE OF A BUILDING PERMIT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 17, ADMINISTRATION, of the "Zoning Ordinance" of the City of Round Rock, Texas, adopted on the 2nd day of October, 1969, is hereby amended by adding a new sub - section 17.202 as follows: Sec. 17.202 A building permit as described in sub - section 17.201 above shall not be issued until and unless the person, firm or corporation seeking the issuance of said permit shall provide the building official with valid certificates of insurance evidencing therein that said person, firm or corporation has in full force and effect a valid policy of public liability insurance and workman's compensation insurance, to be issued by an insurance company licensed to do business in the State of Texas. The public liability insurance policy shall provide liability insurance in an amount of not less than Three Hundred Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($300,000.00) for injuries in any one accident, not less than One Hundred Thousand and No /100 Dollars (100,000.00) for injury to any one person and not less than Fifty Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($50,000.00) for property damage and the workman's compensation insurance policy shall be in an amount not less than the minimum coveraie required by the statutes of the State of Texas.
