AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY
OF OCTOBER, 1969, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP AND MAKING THIS
AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE
.82 OF AN ACRE OUT OF THE WILEY HARRIS SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 298,
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED BELOW FROM "R -1" SINGLE -
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO "R -2" MULTI- FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
DISTRICT, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council of the City of
Round Rock, Texas, for the purpose of amending the Zoning Ordinance from "R -1"
Single - Family Residential District to "R -2" Multi - Family Residential District
on the following described real property, to -wit:
Being 0.82 of an acre of the Wiley Harris Survey, Abst. No. 298, in Williamson
County, Texas, part of a tract of 21.9 acres described in Vol. 372, P. 215, Deed
Records of Williamson County, Texas;
Beginning at an Iron Pin set for the SW corner of this tract in the north
line of Austin Ave., N 72 °20' E, 87 feet from a cedar post marking the SW corner
of the 21.9 acre tract and the SE corner of a small tract described in a deed to
Perry 0. Mayfield of record in Vol. 233, P. 314, Deed Records, Williamson County,
Texas. This said Post stands N 18° W 60 feet from the NW corner of block no. 5,
of the J. A. Nelson Addition to the City of Round Rock, Texas.
Thence N 17 °40' W at 81.4 feet pass West of the West edge of an iron pipe
fence corner post, the SW corner of the chain link fence around a swimming pool,
at 197.4 feet pass one foot West of the West edge of another pipe fence corner
post, in all 198.4 feet to set another iron pin for the NW corner of this tract;
Thence N 72 °12' E at 164.7 feet pass one foot north of the north edge of
another pipe fence corner post at the NE corner of the swimming pool fence, in
all 179.7 feet to set an iron pin for the NE corner of this tract;
Thence S 17 °40' E at about one foot pass through the center of a tall fence
gate post, in all 198.8 feet to set an iron pin in the fence along the south line
of the 21.9 acre tract and the north line of Austin Avenue;
Thence S 72 °20' W 179.7 feet to the beginning; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning
Ordinance to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and
report; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing
of said Zoning Ordinance on the above - described property from "R -1" Single -
Family Residential District to "R -2" Multi- Family Residential District, after
holding a public hearing thereon on the 27th day of January, 1977, and the
City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved and recommended to the City
Council on the 27th day of January, 1977, that the Zoning Ordinance be amended
so that the above - described property be changed from "R -1" Single - Family
Residential District to "R -2" Multi- Family Residential District; and
WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the Zoning Ordinance
concerning notices, hearings, and other procedural matters have been fully
complied with;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Round
Rock, Texas, that the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning map of the City of
Round Rock, Texas, be amended so that the property above - described shall be
and the same is hereby removed from "R -1" Single- Family Residential District
to "R -2" Multi- Family Residential District.
