L/ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE LOTS 5,6, 7, AND THE EAST HALF OF LOT 8, BLOCK 24, OF THE ORIGINAL TOWN OF ROUND ROCK, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED BELOW FROM "R -1" SINGLE - FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO "8 -1" GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, for the purpose of amending the Zoning Ordinance from "R -1" Single - Family Residential District to "B -1" General Business District on the following described real property, to -wit: BEING all of Lots 5, 6, 7, and the East one -half of Lot 8, Block 24 of the Original Town of Round Rock, Texas as shown on a Plat of Record recorded in Vol. 25, Page 314 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, said lots being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING for Reference at an iron pin found at a fence corner post being the Northest corner of Lot 15 and being the Northwest corner of Lot 16, Block 7 in the City of Round Rock, Texas; THENCE N72 ° 35'E, 75.00 feet along the South right -of -way line of Main Street; THENCE N17 ° 25'W, 100 feet to an iron pin set in the North right -of -way line of said Main Street, for the True Point of Beginning and being the most Southerly corner of this herein described tract of land; THENCE N17 ° 25'W, 125.0 feet to an iron pin set in the North line of said Lot 8 in Block 24, for the most Westerly corner hereof; THENCE N72 ° 35'E, 23.79 feet along said North line to an iron pin set in the South right -of -way line of Round Rock Avenue for a corner hereof; THENCE 580 ° 51'E, 90.80 feet along said South right -of -way line of Round Rock Avenue to an iron pin set for the most Northeasterly corner hereof; THENCE 517 ° 25'E, 84.391 feet along the East line of Lot 5, also being the West line of Lot 4, to an iron pin set in the North right -of -way line of Main Street, being the most Southeasterly corner hereof; THENCE S72 ° 35'W, 105.00 feet along said North right -of -way line of Main Street to the True Point of Beginning and containing 0.264 acre of land. WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and report; and WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above - described property from "R -1" Single- Family Residential District to "B -1" General Business District, after holding a public hearing thereon on the 1st day of December, 1977 and the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved and recommend to the City Council on the 22nd day of December, 1977, that the Zoning Ordinance be amended so that the above - described property be changed from "R -1" Single Family Residential District to "B -1" General Business District; and WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the Zoning Ordinance concerning notices, hearings, and other procedural matters have been fully complied with; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, that the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning map of the City of Round Rock, Texas, be amended so that the property above - described shall be and the same is hereby removed from "R -1" Single- Family Residential District to "B -1" General Business District.
