O-78-162 - 6/22/1978UD! 717 PAEE ORDINANCE N0. / .� 1971 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 87.42 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, (THE GATTIS SCHOOL ROAD CORRIDOR) IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY.LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS.] WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, where all interested persons were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the following described property, to wit: BEGINNING FOR THE POINT OF BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the north right -of -way line of the Gattis School Road and the current City Limits Line; THENCE in a southerly direction for a distance of 500 feet a line perpen- dicular to the north right -of -way line of the Gattis School Road to a point; THENCE in an easterly direction for a distance of 7616.45 feet, more or less, a line parallel to the north right -of -way line of the Gattis School Road to a point; THENCE in a northerly direction for a distance of 500 feet a line perpendicular to the north right -of -way line of the Gattis School. Road to a point on the Gattis School Road north right -of -way line; THENCE along said Gattis School Road north right -of -way line in a westerly direction for a distance of 7616.45 feet, more or less, to a point on the Gattis School Road north right -of -way line and the POINT OF BEGINNING, and containing 87.42 acres of land, more or less. was held on the 8th day of June, 1978, which date is not more than twenty days nor . less than ten days prior to the institution of annexation proceedings; and WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas, on the 25th day of May, 1978, which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing; and WHEREAS, the territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the present boundaries of the City of Round Rock, Texas; and WHEREAS, all requirements of the laws of the State of Texas and the Home Rule Charter of the City of Round Rock have been complied with; and WHEREAS, the territory above described contains 87.42 acres, more or less; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 1. The following described land and territory lying adjacent to and adjoining the present boundaries of the City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby '40L 7lTPAH41 - 9 added and annexed to the City of Round Rock, Texas, and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the present boundary limits of such city, at the various points con- tiguous to the area hereinafter described, are altered and amended so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, to wit: BEGINNING FOR THE POINT OF BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the north right -of -way line of the Gattis School Road and the current City Limits Line; THENCE in a southerly direction for a distance of 500 feet a line perpendicu- lar to the north right -of -way line of the Gattis School Road to a point; THENCE in an easterly direction for a distance of 7616.45 feet, more or less, a line parallel to the north right -of -way line of the Gattis School Road to a point; THENCE in a northerly direction for a distance of 500 feet a line perpendicular to the north right -of -way line of the Gattis School Road to a point on the Gattis School Road north right -of -way line; THENCE along said Gattis School Road north right -of -way line in a westerly direction for a distance of 7616.45 feet, more or less, to a point on the Gattis School Road north right -of -way line and the POINT OF BEGINNING, and containing 87.42 acres of land, more or less. The above described territory and the area so annexed shall be a part of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the inhabitants thereof, if any shall be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of all the citizens and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City of Round Rock, Texas.
