O-78-457 - 1/19/1978ORDINANCE NO. / I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE THE TERRITORY KNOWN AS THE TRAVELERS INN /HUNT STATION ANNEXATION AS DESCRIBED BELOW FROM TEMPORARY "R -1" SINGLE- FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO PERMANENT "B -2" LOCAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: WHEREAS, a plan has been submitted to the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, for the purpose of amending the Zoning Ordinance from Temporary "R -1" Single - Family Residential District to Permanent "B -2" Local Business District on the following described real property, to -wit: BEGINNING for a Point of Reference at the point of intersection of the South line of 3.441 acres of land out of the Wiley Harris Survey, in Williamson County, Texas, and out of the real property described as "First Tract" in the deed dated March 12, 1953, recorded in Volume 387, Page 167, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and the West Right -of -Way Line of Interstate Highway 35, a steel stake in the north line of a 20 foot lane being the Southeast corner of said 3.441 acres of land. THENCE along the West line of Interstate Highway 35 and existing City Limit Line N 10° 35' W, 349.3 feet to a steel stake being the Northeast corner of said 3.441 acres of land; THENCE continuing along the West line of Interstate 35 N 10° 35' W, 122.17 feet to a point being the Northeast corner hereof; THENCE S 79° 25' W, 379.73 feet to a steel stake being the Northwest corner of said 3.441 acres of land; THENCE continuing S 79° 25' W, 121.06 feet to a point being the Northwest corner hereof; THENCE S 10° 35' E, 513.22 feet to a point being the Southwest corner hereof; THENCE N 79° 25' E, 180 feet to a steel stake in the North line of said 20 foot lane being the Southwest corner of said 3.441 acres of land; THENCE continuing N 79° 25' E, 320.79 feet to a point being the Southeast corner hereof; THENCE N 10° 35' W, 41.75 feet to the place of beginning and containing 5.9 acres of land, more or less. WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and re- port; and WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above - described property from Temporary "R -1" Single - Family Residential District to Permanent "B -2" Local Business District, after holding a public hearing thereon on the 19th day of January, 1978, and the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved and recommended to the City Council on the 19th day of January, 1978, that the Zoning Ordinance be amended so that the above - described property be changed from Temporary "R -1" Single - Family Residential District to Perma- nent "B -2" Local Business District; and WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the Zoning Ordinance con- cerning notices, hearings, and other procedural matters have been fully complied with; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, that the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning map of the City of Round Rock, Texas, be amended so that the property above- described shall be and the same is hereby removed from Temporary "R -1" Single - Family Residential District to Permanent "B -2" Local Business District. (Mark through the following alternative that is not applicable.) Alternative 1. By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two sepa- rate days was dispensed with.
