O-78-460 - 1/19/1978ORDINANCE NO. , (1) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE A PORTION (TRACT 2) OF THE TERRITORY KNOWN AS THE STRIP 81 ANNEXATION AS DESCRIBED BELOW FROM TEMPORARY "R -1" SINGLE - FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO PERMANENT "B -2" LOCAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: WHEREAS, a plan has been submitted to the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas,for the purpose of amending the Zoning Ordinance from Temporary "R -1" Single - Family Residential District to Permanent "B -2" Local Business District on the following described real property, to -wit: BEGINNING for a point of reference at the intersection of East Right -of -Way line of U. S. Highway 81 (Business) and the North Right -of -Way line of Bowman Drive; THENCE North 68° 20' East, 167 feet to a point; THENCE along the East line hereof, the following five courses and distances: North 18° 40' 15" West, 416.27 feet; North 18° 37' West, 157.58 feet; North 18° 50' West, 105.06 feet; North 19° 17' 45" West, 97.46 feet; North 18° 59' 45" West, 27.44 feet; THENCE South 71° West, 7.13 feet to a point; THENCE along the East line hereof, the following four calls: North 19° 01' 20" West, 254.02 feet; North 19° 07' 30" West, 43.25 feet; North 19° 00' 30" West, 159.24 feet; North 19° 16' West, 1156.07 feet to a point on the Round Rock City Limits; THENCE South 70° 52' 30" West, 274 feet, more or less, to a point on the East Right - of -Way line of U. S. Highway 81 (Business); THENCE South 21° 38' 30" West, 2562 feet, more or less, along the East Right -of -Way line of U. S. Highway 81 (Business) to its intersection with the North Right -of -Way line of Bowman Drive and the POINT OF BEGINNING, and containing 12.8 acres of land, more or less. WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and re- port; and WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above- described property from Temporary "R -1" Single - Family Residential District to Permanent "B -2" Local Business District, after holding a public hearing thereon on the 19th day of January, 1978, and the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved and recommended to the City Council on the 19th day of January, 1978, that the Zoning Ordinance be amended so that the above - described property be changed from Temporary "R -1" Single - Family Residential District to Permanent "B -2" Local Business District; and WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the Zoning Ordinance con- cerning notices, hearings, and other procedural matters have been fully complied with; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, that the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning map of the City of Round Rock, Texas, be amended so that the property above - described shall be and the same is hereby removed from Temporary "R -1" Single- Family Residential District to Permanent "B -2" Local Business District. (Mark through the followingalternative that is not applicable.) Alternative 1. By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two sepa- rate days was dispensed with.
