O-78-461 - 1/19/1978ORDINANCE NO. =, :',/ ' • i AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE A PORTION (TRACT 3) OF THE TERRITORY KNOWN AS THE STRIP 81 ANNEXATION AS DESCRIBED BELOW FROM TEMPORARY "R -1" SINGLE - FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO PERMANENT "I -1" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: WHEREAS, a plan has been submitted to the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, for the purpose of amending the Zoning Ordinance from Temporary "R -1" Single - Family Residential District to Permanent "I -1" Light Industrial District on the following described real property, to -wit: BEGINNING for a point of reference at the point being the Northwest corner of the Round Rock North Industrial Business Park; THENCE along the Western boundary of said industrial business park South 19° 16' East, 1156.07 feet to a point; THENCE continuing along the Western boundary of said business park South 19° 00' 30" East, 159.24 feet to a paint being the Southwest corner of said industrial business park; THENCE along the Southern boundary of said industrial business park North 70° 57' 30" East, 370.08 feet to a point on the Round Rock City Limits being the Southeast corner hereof; THENCE along the Round Rock City Limits North 19° 08' 30" West, 1315.85 feet, more or less, to a point on the Northern boundary of the Round Rock North Industrial Business Park being the Northeast corner hereof; THENCE along the Northern boundary of said industrial business park South 70° 52' 30" West, 370 feet, more or less, to a point being the Northwest corner of said industrial business park and the POINT OF BEGINNING, and containing 11.2 acres of land, more or less. WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and re- port; and WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above - described property from Temporary "R -1" Single - Family Residential District to Permanent "I -1" Light Industrial District, after holding a public hearing thereon on the 19th day of January, 1978, and the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved and recommended to the City Council on the 19th day of January, 1978, that the Zoning Ordinance be amended so that the above - described property be changed from Temporary "R -1" Single - Family Residential District to Permanent "I -1" Light Industrial District; and WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the Zoning Ordinance con- cerning notices, hearings, and other procedural matters have been fully complied with; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, that the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning map of the City of Round Rock, Texas, be amended so that the property above - described shall be and the same is hereby removed from Temporary "R -1" Single- Family Residential District to Permanent "I -1" Light Industrial District. (Mark through the following alternative that is not applicable.) Alternative 1. By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two sepa- rate days was dispensed with.
