AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE A PORTION (THE LEIGH MOTORS TRACT) OF THE TERRITORY KNOWN AS THE LEIGH MOTORS /WARREN G. KING TRACT ANNEXATION AS DESCRIBED BELOW FROM TEMPORARY "R -1" SINGLE- FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO PERMANENT "B -2" LOCAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, AS HERE- INAFTER SET FORTH. WHEREAS, a plan has been submitted to the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, for the purpose of amending the Zoning Ordinance from Temporary "R -1" Single- Family Residential District to Permanent "B -2" Local Business District on the following described real property, to -wit: BEGINNING for a point of reference at a 4 inch square concrete monument in the east R.O.W. line of U.S. Highway No. 81 (Business) also being the northwest corner of the 4 acre Horace R. Leigh tract as described in Volume 439, Page 584, in the Record of Deeds of Williamson County, Texas; THENCE South 2° 34' East, 425.50 feet along the existing City Limit line to a monument establishing the southwest corner hereof; THENCE North 71° East, 425.99 feet to a monument; THENCE North 2° 24' West, 425.49 feet to a monument on the boundary line separat- ing the Warren G. King and Horace R. Leigh tracts; THENCE South 71° West, 426 feet to said 4 inch square concrete monument in the east R.O.W. line of U.S. Highway No. 81 (Business) and the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 4 acres of land, more or less. WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and report; and WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing of the Zoning Ordinance on the above - described property from Temporary "R -1" Single - Family Residential District to Permanent "B -2" Local Business District, after holding a public hearing thereon on the 16th day of February, 1978, and the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved and recommended to the City Council on the 16th day of February, 1978, that the Zoning Ordinance be amended so that the above - described property be changed from Temporary "R -1" Single - Family Residential District to Permanent "B -2" Local Business District; and WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the Zoning Ordinance con- cerning notices, hearings, and other procedural matters have been fully complied with; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, that the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning map of the City of Round Rock, Texas, be amended so that the property above - described shall be and the same is hereby removed from Temporary "R -1" Single- Family Residential District to "B -2" Local Business District. (Mark through the following alternative that is not applicable.) Alternative 1. By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two sepa- rate days was dispensed with.
