AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE .612 ACRES, OUT OF THE DAVID CURRY SURVEY, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED BELOW FROM "R -1" SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO "B -2" LOCAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, for the purpose of amending the Zoning Ordinance from "R -1" Single- Family Residential District to "B -2" Local Business District on the following described real property, to wit: A tract of land out of the David Curry Survey, A -130, and J.M. Harrell Survey A -284, Williamson County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows, to wit: BEGINNING at the SW corner of Lot 1, Block A, Old Town Meadows, a subdivision in Williamson County, Texas, according to the map or plat thereof of record in Vol. 8, Page 54, Plat Records Williamson County, Texas THENCE N 41 30' W 245.06 Ft. and along the west lines of the said Lot 1 aforesaid and Lot 2 of said subdivision to the most NW corner of said Lot 2 for the NE corner hereof; THENCE N 57 41' E 99.38 feet for teh NW corner hereof; THENCE S 31 43' E and along the E Line of a 20 foot dedicated street a distance of 65.68 feet and continuing S 41 36' E 188.08 feet for the SW corner hereof; THENCE in an easterly direction and along the N line of Meadows Drive, a didicated street within the aforesaid sub- division to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and contain .612 acres of land. WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and report; and WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above - described property from "R -1" Single- family Residential District to "B -2" Local Business District, after holding a public hearing thereon the 4th day of May, 1978, and the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved and recommended to the City Council on the 4th day of May, 1978, that the Zoning Ordinance be amended so that the above - described property be changed from "R -1" Single- family Residential District to "B -2" Local Business District; and WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the Zoning Ordinance concerning notices, hearings, and other procedural matters have been fully complied with; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, that the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning map of the City of Round Rock, Texas, be amended so that the property above - described shall be and the same is hereby removed from "R -1" Single - family Residential District to "B -2" Local Business District. (Mark through the following alternative that is not applicable.) Alternative 1. By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.
