AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS ON THE 2ND
DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969,AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP AND MAK-
ING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE:
TO CHANGE 4.59 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE HOUND ROCK WEST,
SECTION 5 SUBDIVISION, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED
BELOW FROM "I -2" HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO "R -1" Single - family
DISTRICT, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council
of the City of Round Rock, Texas, for the purpose of amending the
Zoning Ordinance from "I -2" Heavy Industrial District to "R -1" Single -
Family Residential District on the following described real property,
to -wit:
BEING all of that tract located on the corner of Round Rock West Drive,
Round Rock, 'Texas, and is legally described as Lot 27, Block C, Commer-
cial, Round Rock West, Section 5, Round Rock, Williamson County, Texas.
WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change
in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for
its recommendation and report; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved
the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above- described property
from "I -2" Heavy Industrial District to "R -1" Single - family Residential
District, after holding a public hearing thereon on the 4th. day of
May, 1978, and the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved
and recommended to the City Council on the 4th. day of May, 1978, that
the Zoning Ordinance be amended so that the above- described property
be changed from "I -2" Heavy Industrial District to "R -1" Single - family
Residential District; and
WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the Zoning
Ordinance concerning notices, hearings, and other procedural matters
have been fully complied with;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Round Rock, Texas, that the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning
map of the City of Round Rock, Texas, be amended so that the property
above- described shall be and the same is hereby removed from "I -2"
Heavy Industrial District to "8-1" Single- family Residential District.

Alternative 1.
By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirma-
tive vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for
reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.
