AN ORDINANCE ADDING TO THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED
AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND
ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969, ADDING
TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP AND MAKING THIS ADDITION
A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ZONING ORDINANCE BY
ADDING CERTAIN NEWLY ANNEXED PROPERTY TO WIT: A POR-
TION OF THE PROPOSED MICHAEL BENNETT SUBDIVISION IN
ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED BELOW; REMOVING SAID
PROPERTY FROM TEMPORARY R -1 SINGLE - FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
DISTRICT TO PERMANENT B -I GEtERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, AS
HEREINAFTER SET FORTH.
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council
of the City of Round Rock, Texas, for the purpose of providing
permanent zoning of "B -2" Local Business District in place of
temporary "R -1" Single Family Residential District on the fol-
lowing described real property, to wit:
Being a portion of Lots 1 and 2 of the proposed
Michael Bennett Subdivision out of the J. M. Harrell
Survey in Williamson County, Texas, and containing
1.291 acres of land, more or less. A copy of said
proposed subdivision is attached hereto as Exhibit
"A" and the property described herein is designated
as Tract 1. The portion of Lots 1 and 2 not included
in this ordinance is the subject of another ordinance
of even date herewith.
WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed designa-
tion of permanent zoning to the City Planning and Zoning Commission
for its recommendation and report; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved
the designation of permanent zoning for the above - described property
of "B-1" General Business District, after holding a public hearing
therein on the 6th day of July, 1978, and the City Planning and
Zoning Commission has approved and recommended to the City Council
on the 6th day of July, 1978, that the above - described property be
given a permanent zoning designation of "B -1" General Business District;
WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the statutes
of the State of Texas and in the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Round Rock, concerning notices, hearings, and other procedural
matters have been fully complied with;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, THAT;
An addition be made to the Zoning Ordinance and zoning
map of the City of Round Rock, Texas, so that the above - described
property shall be and the same is hereby removed from Temporary
"R -1" Single- Family Residential District to "B -1" General Business
District.
