O-78-479 - 7/13/1978TEXAS: ORDINANCE NO. //79 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE A PORTION OF THE PROPOSED MICHAEL BENNETT SUBDIVISION IN ROUND ROCK, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED BELOW FROM "R -1" SINGLE - FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO "B -1" GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, for the purpose of amending the Zoning Ordinance from "R -1" Single - family Residential District to "B -2" Local Business District on the following described real property, to -wit: Being all of Lots 3 and 4 and a portion of Lots 1 and 2 of the proposed Michael Bennett Subdivi- sion out of the J. M. Harrell Survey in William- son County, Texas, and containing 3.64 acres of land, more or less. A copy of said proposed sub- division is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and the property described herein is designated as Tract 2. The portion of Lots 1 and 2 not included in this ordinance is the subject of another ordinance of even date herewith. WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and report; and WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above - described property from "R -1" Single- family Residential District to "B -1" General Busi- ness District, after holding a public hearing thereon on the 6th day of July, 1978, and the City Planning and Zoning Commission has ap- proved and recommended to the City Council on the 6th day of July, 1978, that the Zoning Ordinance be amended so that the above - described property be changed from "R -1" Single- family Residential District to "B -1" General Business District; and WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the Zoning Ordinance concerning notices, hearings, and other procedural matters have been fully complied with; NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, that the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning map of the City of Round Rock, Texas, be amended so that the above - described property shall be and the same is hereby re- moved from "R -1" Single- family Residential District to "8-1" Gen- eral Business District. (Mark through the following alternative that is not applicable.) Alternative 1.
