AN ORDINANCE ADDING TO THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
ON THE 2ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969, ADDING TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE
MAP AND MAKING THIS ADDITION A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL
ZONING ORDINANCE BY ADDING CERTAIN NEWLY ANNEXED PROPERTY TO
WIT: THE MARVIN H. PARKER TRACT ANNEXATION BEING 10.45 ACRES
OF LAND OUT OF THE DAVID CURRY SURVEY IN ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AS
DESCRIBED BELOW: REMOVING SAID PROPERTY FROM TEMPORARY "R -1"
SINGLE - FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO PERMANENT "R -2" MULTI-
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH.
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council of the City of
Round Rock, Texas, for the purpose of providing permanent zoning of "R -2" Multi-
family Residential District in place of temporary "R -1" Single - family Residential
District on the following described real property, to wit:
FIELD NOTES describing 10.45 acres of land out of and a part of
the David Curry Survey, Abstract No. 130 situated in Williamson
County, Texas, said 10.45 acre tract being more particularly
described as being the remainder of that certain 11.23 acre tract
conveyed by deed to Marvin H. Parker, as recorded in Volume 591,
Page 659 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and a
portion of County Road No. 125, said 10.45 acre tract being more
fully described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin set in the west line of said Parker Tract
marking the most northerly S.W. corner hereof; said corner being
North 17° 40' West, 235.40 feet from the S.W. corner of said Parker
Tract;
THENCE North 17° 40' West, 1143.24 feet with said west line to
an iron pin set, for the N.W. corner hereof;
THENCE North 74° 27' East, 358.27 feet to an iron pin found marking
the N.E. corner of said Parker Tract, for the N.E. corner hereof;
THENCE South 17° 39' West, 1353.97 feet to an iron pin found in
the North line of County Road No. 125 marking the S.E. corner of
said Parker Tract;
THENCE South 17° 39' West, 55 feet to the south line of County
Road No. 125 for the southeast corner hereof;
THENCE South 70° 30' West, 172.88 feet with said south line of
County Road No. 125 to a point for the most southerly southwest
corner hereof;
THENCE North 17° 40' West, 55 feet to an iron pin on the north
line of County Road No. 125;
THENCE North 17° 40' West, 235.40 feet to an iron pin set for an
inner corner hereof;
THENCE South 70° 30' West, 185.06 feet to the place of BEGINNING
and containing 10.45 acres of land.
WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed designation of perma-
nent zoning to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and
report; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the designa-
tion of permanent zoning for the above - described property of "R -2" Multi- family
Residential District, after holding a public hearing thereon on the 20th day of
July, 1978, and the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved and recommended
to the City Council on the 20th day of July, 1978, that the above - described property
be given a permanent zoning designation of "R -2" Multi- family Residential District;
and
WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the statutes of the State
of Texas and in the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Round Rock, concerning notices,
hearings, and other procedural matters has been fully complied with;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS, THAT:
An addition be made to the Zoning Ordinance and zoning map of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, so that the above- described property shall be and the same is
hereby removed from Temporary "R -1" Single - family Residential District to "R -2"
Multi- family Residential District.

Alternative 1.
By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all
the Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two sepa-
rate days was dispensed with.
