Jo ne Land City Secretary City of Round Rock, Texas ORDINANCE NO. / 70 _ Vn !_ AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 64.04 ACRES OF LAND, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEJLAS. WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas where all interested persons were pro- vided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, was held on the 8th day of March 1979 , which date is not more than twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the institution of annexation proceedings; and WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas on the 22nd day of February 1979 , which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing; and WHEREAS, the territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the present boundaries of the City of Round Rock, Texas; and WHEREAS, all requirements of the laws of the State of Texas and the Home Rule Charter of the City of Round Rock have been com- plied with, and WHEREAS, the territory above described contains 64.04 acres; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 1. The land and territory, described in Exhibit "A ", which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, lying adjacent to and adjoining the present boundaries of the City of Round Rock, Texas is hereby added and annexed to the City of Round Rock, Texas, and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the present boundary limits of such city, at the various points con- tiguous to the area hereinafter described, are altered and amended so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas. Section 2. The above described territory and the area so annexed shall be a part of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the inhabitants thereof, if any, shall be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of all the citizens and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City of Round Rock, Texas. Holder Survey in Williamson County, Texas, which 64.04 acres of land are more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING FOR REFERENCE at an iron stake found in the north line of U.S. Highway 79, said stake also being at the southwest corner of that certain 13.07 acre tract of land as conveyed to Kelly Edgar and Ina May Ogletree McAdams by deed recorded in Volume 491, Page 593 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and from which corner th8 northwest corner of said Prior A.
