AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN
BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING
OF 14 ACRES OF LAND, WHICH SAID TERRITORY
LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council of the
City of Round Rock, Texas, where all interested persons were provided
with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the
property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof, was held on the 12thday of April
1979 , which date is not more than twenty days nor less than ten days
prior to the institution of annexation proceedings; and
WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in a
newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas
on the 29th day of March , 1979
which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to
the date of such public hearings; and
WHEREAS, the territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the
present boundaries of the City of Round Rock, Texas; and
WHEREAS, all requirements above described contains 14
acres; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS:
Section 1. The land and territory, described in Exhibit
"A ", which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, lying adjacent
to and adjoining the present boundaries of the City of Round Rock,
Texas is hereby added and annexed to the City of Round Rock, Texas,
and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included
within the boundary limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the
present boundary limits of such city, at the various points contiguous
to the area hereinafter described, are altered and amended so as to
include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Round
Rock, Texas.
Section 2. The above described territory and the area so
annexed shall be a part of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the
inhabitants thereof, if any, shall be entitled to all of the rights
and privileges of all the citizens and shall be bound by the acts,
ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City of Round Rock,
Texas.

Alternative 1.
By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative
vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading
this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.

FIELD NOTES FOR U.S. HIGHWAY 79 R.O.W. ANNEXATION:
BEGINNING AT A POINT in the north right -of -way line of U.S. Highway No. 79
at Engineer's Centerline Station 47 +91.8, said point also being in the present
corporate limit line of the City of Round Rock;
THENCE with the north right -of -way line of U.S. Highway No. 79 and the present
corporate limit line of the City of Round Rock in an easterly direction for
a distance of 5770 feet, more or less, for the northeast corner hereof;
THENCE with the present corporate limit line of the City of Round Rock, South
00 49' East for a distance of 100 feet, more or less, to a point in the south
right -of -way line of U.S. Highway No. 79 for the southeast corner hereof;
THENCE with the south right -of -way line of U.S. Highway 79 in a westerly
direction for a distance of 5770 feet, more or less, to a point in the present
corporate limit line of the City of Round Rock for the southwest corner
hereof; -
THENCE with the present corporate limit line of the City of Round Rock,
North 00 10' West for a distance of 120 feet to a point in the north
right -of -way line of U.S. Highway No. 79 for the northwest corner hereof
and the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 14 acres of land, more or less.
