O-79-176 - 9/27/1979ORDINANCE NO. /'76 VOL 1 2PAGE 289 241 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 1.57 ACRES OF LAND, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS. WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, where all interested persons were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, was held on the 13th day of September 19 79, which date is not more than twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the institution of annexation proceedings; and WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas on the 30th day of August , 1979 , which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearings; and WHEREAS, the territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the present boundaries of the City of Round Rock, Texas; and WHEREAS, all requirements above described contains 1.57 acres; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 1. The land and territory, described in Exhibit "A ", which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, lying adjacent to and adjoining the present boundaries of the City of Round Rock, Texas is hereby added and annexed to the City of Round Rock, Texas, and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the present boundary limits of such city, at the various points contiguous to the area hereinafter described, are altered and amended so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas. The above described territory and the area so annexed shall be a part of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the inhabitants thereof, if any, shall be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of all the citizens and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City of Round Rock, Texas. By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.
