O-79-182 - 12/27/1979ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 1.292 ACRES OF LAND, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS. WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, where all interested persons were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, was held on the 13thday of December 19 79, which date is not more than twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the institution of annexation proceedings; and WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas on the 29th day of November , 19 79 , which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearings; and WHEREAS, the territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the present boundaries of the City of Round Rock, Texas; and WHEREAS, all requirements above described contains 1.292 acres; row therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 1. The land and territory, described in Exhibit "A ", which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, lying adjacent to and adjoining the present boundaries of the City of Round Rock, Texas is hereby added and annexed to the City of Round Rock, Texas, and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the present boundary limits of such city, at the various points contiguous to the area hereinafter described, are altered and amended so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas. WALL OF RECORD IN VOLUME 538 AT PAGE 442 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS: WHICH TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 1.292 ACRES IS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING at an iron stake found at the present northwest corner of said Tract 1, in the east right -of -way line of Interstate Highway No. 35; THENCE, with a fence along the north side of said Tract 1 S 56° 15' E 397.74 feet to an iron stake found; THENCE, S 48° 47' 50" W 99.34 feet to an iron stake set in a fence line: THENCE, S 21° 22' E 26.66 feet to an iron stake set in the north line of the Round Rock Lumber Company Tract; THENCE, with the north line of the Round Rock Lumber Company Tract, S 66° 11' 50" W 167.52 feet to an iron stake found in the east right -of -way line of Interstate Highway No. 35; THENCE, with the east right -of -way line of Interstate Highway No. 35, N 20° 03' W 210.78 feet to a concrete right -of -way marker found; THENCE, continuing with the east right -of -way line of Interstate Highway No. 35, N 12° 31' 15" W 185.24 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
