AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969; AMENDING SECTION
18.6 TO PROVIDE FOR REPRESENTATION BY THE PARTIES IN
INTEREST BEFORE THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT; AMENDING
SECTION 21.201 TO PROVIDE FOR REPRESENTATION BEFORE
THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION; AMENDING SECTION 21.303
TO CLARIFY THE PROCEDURES REQUIRED WHEN A WRITTEN PROTEST
IS FILED AGAINST A PROPOSED ZONING CHANGE; REPEALING CON-
FLICTING ORDINANCES AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
I.
Section 18.6 shall be amended to hereafter read as follows:
Sec. 18.6: The Board of Adjustment shall fix a reason-
able time for the hearing of the appeal, give public
notice thereof, as well as due notice to the parties
in interest, and decide the same within a reasonable
time. Upon the hearing, each party shall appear in per-
son or by agent or by attorney.
II.
The following sentence shall be added to the end of Section 21.201:
Upon such hearing, the party requesting a change in
zoning shall appear in person or by agent or by attorney.
III.
Section 21.303 shall be amended to hereafter read as follows:
Sec. 21.303: If the Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended against a proposed amendment, supplement,
change or modification, or if a written protest against
such change, signed by the owners of 20 per cent or
more either of the area of the lots or land included in
such proposed change, or of the lots or land immediately
adjoining the same and extending 200 feet therefrom,
such amendment shall not become effective except by
the favorable vote of three- fourths of all members of
the City Council.
IV.
The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance
shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof.
V.
All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict
herewith are expressly repealed.

vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for
reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.
