O-79-609 - 4/26/1979District ORDINANCE NO. /O(/ 9 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969, AMEND- ING THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE 19.5 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE JACOB M. HARRELL SURVEY, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED BELOW FROM "I -2" HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO "B -1" GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT , AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, for the purpose of amending the Zoning Ordinance from "I -2" Heavy Industrial District to "B -1" General Business District on the property, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, and WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and report; and WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above - described property from "I -2" Heavy Industrial District to "B -1" General Business District after holding a public hearing thereon on the 19th day of April 19 79, that the Zoning Ordinance be amended so that the above - described property be changed from "I -2" Heavy Industrial District to "B -1" General Business District ; and WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the Zoning Ordinance concerning notices, hearings, and other procedural matters has been fully complied with, now therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: That the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning map of the City of Round Rock, Texas, be amended so that the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof shall be and the same is hereby removed from "I -2" Heavy Industrial District to "B -1" General Business (Mark through the following alternative that is not applicable.) Alternative 1. By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with. Harrell Survey in the City of Round Rock, Williamson County, Texas, which 19.5 acres of land, more or less, are more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point being the western most corner of Lot 2 of the Round Rock West Section Three (Revised) Subdivision; THENCE North 77° 06' East for a distance of 444.53 feet to a point being the northwest corner of Lot 3 of said Round Rock West Section 3 (Revised) Subdivision; THENCE South 18° 35' West for a distance of 661.45 feet to a point in the north R.O.W. line of McNeil Road; THENCE along said north R.O.W. line in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 950 feet, more or less, to a point in said north R.O.W. line, said point also being the easternmost corner of Lot 16 of the Round Rock West Section 4 Subdivision; THENCE North 18° 37' West, 495.62 feet with the east line of said Round Rock West Section 4 Subdivision to an iron pin set; THENCE North 18° 37' West, 330 feet continuing with said east line to an iron pin set; THENCE North 18° 37' West, 35.23 feet continuing with said east line to an iron pin found; THENCE North 21° 22' West, 213.41 feet with said east line to an iron pin set for the northwest corner hereof; THENCE 45° 55' East, 494.83 feet to an iron pin set for a corner hereof; THENCE South 04° 53' East, 142.56 to an iron pin found at the western most corner of Lot 2 of the Round Rock West Section 3 (Revised) Subdivision and the POINT OF BEGINNING hereof, and containing 19.5 acres of land, more or less.
