AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AS
ADOPTED IN CHAPTER 11, SECTION 2.E.(2) OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AND
MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING
MAP: TO CHANGE 3 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, OUT OF
THE JACOB M. HARRELL SURVEY, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS,
AS DESCRIBED BELOW FROM "I -2" HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT
TO "I -1" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AS HEREINAFTER SET
FORTH.
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission was requested
to undertake a comprehensive study of certain tracts located in
Round Rock West Section III, for possible zoning classification
changes, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has completed
its study and has made its recommendations to the Council for various
changes, and
WHEREAS, one of the tracts under study is a tract described
in Exhibit "A ", attached hereto and made a part hereof for all pur-
poses, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved
the changing of said Official Zoning Map on the above - described
property from "I -2" Heavy Industrial District to "I -1" Light Industrial
District, after holding a public hearing thereon on the 4th day of
April, 1979, and the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved
and recommended to the City Council on the 5th day of May, 1979,
that the Official Zoning Map be amended so that the above- described
property be changed from "I -2" Heavy Industrial District to "I -1"
Light Industrial District; and
WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the Code of
Ordinances concerning notices, hearings, and other procedural matters
have been fully complied with, now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS:
That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Round Rock, Texas,
be amended so that the property described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof shall be and the same is hereby re-
moved from "I -2" Heavy Industrial District to "I -1" Light Industrial
District.
(Mark through the following alternative that is not applicable)

By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative
vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading
this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.

FIELD NOTES FOR ROUND ROCK WEST SECTION 3 (REVISED) - TRACT J:
3 acres of land, more or less, same being out of and a part of the Jacob
M. Harrell Survey in the City of Round Rock, Williamson County, Texas,
which 3 acres of land, more or less, are more particularly described by
metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING for reference at a point located in the Interstate Highway 35
west right -of -way line, said point also being the easternmost corner of
Lot 5 of the Round Rock West Section 3 (Revised) Subdivision;
THENCE along a curve to the left whose chord bears S 25° 12' E for a
distance of 244.63 feet more or less to a point of tangency;
THENCE with said west right -of -way line, South 26° 06' East, 225.92 feet
to a point of curve to the right;
THENCE with said curve to the right whose subchord bears North 67°
35' West for a distance of 600.82 feet, more or less, to a point, said
point also being the south west corner of Lot 5 of the Round Rock West
Section 3 (Revised) Subdivision;
THENCE with the south line of said Lot 5 North 68° 09' East, 402.98 feet
to a point in the Interstate Highway 35 west right -of -way line and the
southeast corner of said Lot 5 and the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing
3 acres of land more or less.

The attached ordinance rezones Tract J to "I-1". This ordinance, which
represents the P & Z recommendation, has already passed on first reading.
