AN ORDINANCE ADDING TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP PASSED AND ADOPTED IN CHAPTER 11, SECTION 2.E.(2) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ADDING TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AND MAKING THIS ADDITION A PART OF THE OFFICIAL MAP BY ADDING CERTAIN NEWLY ANNEXED PROPERTY TO -WIT: WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, for the purpose of providing permanent zoning of newly annexed 'property described in Exhibit "A ", attached hereto and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed designation of permanent zoning to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and report; and WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission on the 20th day of December , 1979, held a public hearing to consider the designation of permanent zoning for the above - described property, and has approved and recommended to the City Council on the 20th day of December , 1979, that the Official Zoning Map be amended so that the above - described property be given a permanent zoning designation of B -2 Local Business District ; and WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the statutes of the State of Texas and in the Code of Ordinances of the City of Round Rock, concerning notices, hearings, and other procedural matters have been fully complied with; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, THAT: An addition be made to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Round Rock, Texas, so that the property described in Exhibit "A ", attached hereto and made a part hereof, shall be and the same is permanently zoned B -2 Local Business District (Mark through the following alternative that is not applicable.) Intended use of this tract includes the provision of additional paved parking for the Round Rock Center and the construction of a professional office building. This tract fronts IH 35 and has existing "B -2" districts to both the north and the south. FACTUAL CONSIDERATIONS AND PROPOSED FINDINGS: Accordance with the General Plan. By location and proposed land use, business zoning is in order. Staff Proposal: To recommend B -2 Local Business District zoning for the subject tract. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL: MOTION: Howell moved to recommend to the City Council that the Henna /May Tract Annexation be zoned B -2 Local Business District.
