AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN
BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING
OF 26.44 ACRES OF LAND, WHICH SAID TERRITORY
LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, where all interested persons were provided with an
opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the property de-
scribed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, was held on
the llth day of December 19 80 , which date is not more
than twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the institution of annexa-
tion proceedings; and
WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in a newspaper .
having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas, on the 27th
day of November , 19 80 , which date is not more than twenty nor less
than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the present
boundaries of the City of Round Rock, Texas; and
WHEREAS, all requirements of the laws of the State of Texas and
the Home Rule Charter of the City of Round Rock have been complied with;
WHEREAS, the territory above described contains 26.44
acres;
now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS:
Section 1. The land and territory, described in Exhibit "A ",
which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, lying adjacent to and
adjoining the present boundaries of the City of Round Rock, Texas, is
hereby added and annexed to the City of Round Rock, Texas, and said terri-
tory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included within the boundary
limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the present boundary limits
of such city, at the various points contiguous to the area hereinafter
described, are altered and amended so as to include said area within the
corporate limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas.
Section 2. The above described territory and the area so
annexed shall be a part of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the
inhabitants thereof, if any, shall be entitled to all of the rights
and privileges of all the citizens and shall be bound by the acts,
ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City of Round Rock,
Texas.

By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative
vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading
this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.

EXHIBIT "A"
FIELD NOTES describing a 26.44 acre tract or parcel of land, out of the
Wiley Harris Survey, Abstract No. 298, situated in Williamson County,
Texas, being composed and consisting of the following nine (9) tracts:
1) 6.12 acres conveyed to Wallace Leurson by deed recorded in Volume
484, Page 246 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas;
2 -5) four (4) tracts conveyed to Theo Zimmerman, Jr., by deed as fol-
lows; 3.22 acres recorded in Volume 484, Page 248; 2.50 acres recorded
in Volume 484, Page 248; 0.83 acres recorded in Volume 505, Page 46;
0.82 acres recorded in Volume 553, Page 157 of said deed records;
6) 4.89 acres conveyed to Frank Huddleston by deed recorded in Volume
613, Page 601 of said Deed Records;
7) 4.21 acres conveyed to Norman C. Placer by deed recorded in Volume
644, Page 715 of said Deed Records;
8) a portion of the remainder of that certain 231.374 acres conveyed
to Gaston Development Company and the Garland Development Company by
deed recorded in Volume 710, Page 700 of said Deed Records;
9) a portion of that certain 75.06 acres conveyed to the Tomanet
Development Company by deed recorded in Volume 498, Page 401 of said
Deed Records; in all, said nine (9) tracts combined being 26.44 acres,
and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the North line of Greenslopes, Section One, as
shown on a Plat of Record in Cabinet D, Slide 5 of the Plat Records of
said County, being the Southeast corner of Dove Creek, Section One, as
shown on a Plat of Record in Cabinet D, Slide 238 -239 of said Plat
Records, also being the Southwest corner of said 4.89 acres, for the
Southwest corner and POINT OF BEGINNING of the hereinafter described
26.44 acre tract of land;
THENCE along the East line of said Dove Creek, Section One, for the
West line hereof, N01 ° 15'E, at a distance of 537.00 feet pass the
Northeast corner of said Section One, being the Southeast corner of
Dove Creek, Section Two, as shown on a Plat of Record in Cabinet D,
Slide 271, of said Plat Records, and continue an additional distance of
509.53 feet, in all a total distance of 1046.53 feet to an angle point
