AN ORDINANCE ADDING TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP PASSED
AND ADOPTED IN CHAPTER 11, SECTION 2.E.(2) OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ADDING TO
THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AND MAKING THIS ADDITION A PART
OF THE OFFICIAL MAP BY ADDING CERTAIN NEWLY ANNEXED
PROPERTY TO -WIT:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council of
the City of Round Rock, Texas, for the purpose of providing permanent
zoning of newly annexed property described in Exhibit "A ", attached hereto
and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed designation
of permanent zoning to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its
recommendation and report; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission on the 21st
day of February , 19 80, held a public hearing to consider the
designation of permanent zoning for the above - described property, and
has approved and recommended to the City Council on the 2lstlay of
February , 1980 , that the Official Zoning Map be amended so that
the above- described property be given a permanent zoning designation of
"B -1" General Business District ; and
WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the statutes
of the State of Texas and in the Code of Ordinances of the City of Round
Rock, concerning notices, hearings, and other procedural matters have been
fully complied with;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS, THAT:
An addition be made to the Official Zoning Map of the City of
Round Rock, Texas, so that the property described in Exhibit "A ", attached
hereto and made a part hereof, shall be and the same is permanently zoned
"R -1" Single- family Residential District
(Mark through the following alternative that is not applicable.)
Alternative 1.
By motion duly made, seconded, and passed with an affirmative
vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this
ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.

BEING out of and a part of the Wiley Harris Survey, and out of and a part
of an 8 3/5 acre tract conveyed to Fritz Schier by J. E. Merrell and wife,
Irene Merrell, by deed dated July 3rd, A.D. 1944, of record in Volume 322,
Page 252, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and being the same
land conveyed to Howard Wilson et ux, by Fritz Schier, et al, by deed dated
July 1, A. D. 1953, of record in Volume 389, Page 480, Deed Records of
Williamson County, Texas, and being further described by metes and bounds
as follows, to -wit:
BEGINNING in the E. line of said 8 3/5 acre tract at a point that is
S 18 °11'E and 360' distant from the N E corner of same;
THENCE S 71 °49'W 180 feet;
THENCE S 3 °5'E, to the Channel of Brushy Creek;
THENCE down the channel of said creek with its meanders to the point where
said channel of said creek intersects the East line of the aforesaid 8 3/5
acre tract;
THENCE along the E line of said 8 3/5 acre tract of land, N 3 °5'W. to the
place of BEGINNING and containing 1.57 acres of land, more or less; and
being land described in a deed from E. L. Slay and wife, Clara Slay, to
James W. Montgonery, et ux, dated November 1, 1960, and recorded in
Volume 441, Page 314, of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas.
