AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE"
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF
OCTOBER, 1969, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP
AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF
THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE 7.87 ACRES,
MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE JACOB M. HARRELL
SURVEY, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED
BELOW FROM HISTORICAL "R -1" SINGLE - FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
DISTRICT TO HISTORICAL "B -1" GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Coun-
cil of the City of Round Rock, Texas, for the purpose of
amending the Zoning Ordinance from Historical "R -1" Single- family
Residential District to Historical "B -1" General Business District
on the property, described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed
change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning and
Zoning Commission for its recommendation and report; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has
approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above -
described property from Historical "R -1" Single - family Residential
District to Historical "B -1" General Business District
after holding a public nearing thereon on the 17th day of _
April , 1980 , that the Zoning Ordinance be amended so
that the above - described property be changed from Historical
"R -1" Single - family Residential District
General Business District ; and
to Historical "B -1"
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that substan-
tial changes in conditions have occurred which justify the
change of zoning classification provided for herein, and
WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the
Zoning Ordinance concerning notices, hearings, and other pro-
cedural matters has been fully complied with, now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS:
That the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning map of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, be amended so that the property de-
scribed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof
shall be and the same is hereby removed from Historical "R -1"
Single - family Residential District to Historical "B -1" General Business
District
(Mark through the following alternative that is not appli-
cable)
Alternative 1.
By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirma-
tive vote of all the Council members present, the requirement
for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed
with.

EXHIBIT "A"
BEGINNING AT A POINT being the intersection of the south right -of -way line
of Sam Bass Road and the east right -of -way line of Galloping Road;
THENCE with the east right -of -way line of Galloping Road in a southeasternly
direction a straight line for a distance of 900 feet, more or less, to a
point being the intersection of the east right -of -way line of Galloping Road
and the north right -of -way line of Manuel Street;
THENCE in a southwesterly direction a straight line for a distance of 90
feet, more or less, to a point being the intersection of the south right -
of -way line of Manuel Street and the east right -of -way line of the Missouri -
Pacific Railroad;
THENCE with said east railroad right -of -way line in a southeasterly direction
a straight line for a distance of 670 feet, more or less, to a point in the
centerline of Brushy Creek;
THENCE with said creek centerline in an easterly direction a straight line
for a distance of 140 feet, more or less, to a point in the west right -of-
way line of Chisholm Trail Road;
THENCE with said west right -of -way line in a northerly direction a straight
line for a distance of 520 feet, more or less, to a point of intersection
with the centerline of Sunset Drive;
THENCE continuing with said west right -of -way line in a northwesterly direc-
tion a straight line for a distance of 1150 feet, more or less, to a point
of intersection with the south right -of -way line of Sam Bass Road;
THENCE with said south right -of -way line in a southwesterly direction a
straight line for a distance of 220 feet, more or less, to a point of inter-
section with the east right -of -way line of Galloping Road and the POINT OF
BEGINNING, and containing 7.87 acres of land, more or less.
