AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE"
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF
OCTOBER, 1969, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP
AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF
THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO DESIGNATE 1.95
ACRES, MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE JACOB M.
HARRELL SURVEY, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS
DESCRIBED BELOW, AS AN HISTORICAL DISTRICT AS
HEREINAFTER SET FORTH.
WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission has re-
quested that a study be made for the purpose of designating
as an Historical District certain property, described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed
designation to the Planning and Zoning Commission for its
recommendation and report; and
WHEREAS, the. Planning and Zoning Commission has approved
the designation as an Historical. District of the above -
described property, after holding a public hearing thereon on
the 15th day of January 1981 ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the-above-
described property is an area which has outstanding histori-
cal and cultural significance and the buildings and other
appurtenances located thereon are of basic and vital impor-
tance for the development of culture and tourism because of
this association with history; and
WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the
Zoning Ordinance concerning notices, hearings, and other pro-
cedural matters has been fully complied with, now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
That the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning map of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, be amended so that the property de-
scribed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof
shall be and the same is hereby designated as an Historical
District in conformance with the provision of Chapter 11,
Section 4, Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas.

By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirma-
tive vote of all the Council members present, the requirement
for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed
with.

EXHIBIT "A"
Field notes describing a 1.950 acre tract or parcel of land out of the
J. M. Harrell Survey, Abstract No. 284, situated in Williamson County,
Texas, and also being out of that 6.736 acre tract conveyed to Charles
M. Christensen, Trustee, described in a deed recorded in Volume 341,
Page 210 of the Deed Records of said County, said 1.950 acre tract be-
ing more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows;
Beginning for Reference at the Southwest corner of said 6.736 acre tract,
being in the East margin of Chisholm Trail;
THENCE N19 °00'W, 30.21 feet along said East margin to a concrete monu-
ment set for the Southwest corner and True Point of Beginning of this
described tract;
THENCE N19 °00'W, 441.62 feet along said East margin to a concrete monu-
ment set for the Northwest corner hereof;
THENCE N71 °00'E, 156.25 feet to a concrete monument set for the North-
east corner hereof;
THENCE S56 °02'E, 91.65 feet to a concrete monument set for an angle point
in the East line hereof;
THENCE S12 °14'E, 390.80 feet to a concrete monument set for the Southeast
corner hereof;
THENCE S77 °46'W, 30.0 feet northerly of and parallel to the South line
of said 6.736 acre tract, 166.56 feet to the True Point of Beginning of
this described tract containing 1.950 acres or 84,951 square feet of land
more or less.
