AN ORDINANCE. AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE"
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF
OCTOBER, 1969, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP
AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF
THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO DESIGNATE 0.0041
ACRES, MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE JACOB M. HARRELL
SURVEY, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS
DESCRIBED BELOW, AS AN HISTORICAL DISTRICT AS
HEREINAFTER SET FORTH.
WHEREAS, the. Historic Preservation Commission has re-
quested that a study be made for the purpose of designating
as an Historical District certain property, described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made apart hereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed
designation to the Planning and Zoning Commission for its
recommendation and report; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has approved
the designation as an Historical District of the above -
described property, after holding a public hearing thereon on
the 21st day of May , 1981 ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the above -
described property is an area which has outstanding histori-
cal and cultural significance and the buildings and other
appurtenances located thereon are of basic and vital impor-
tance for the development of culture and tourism because of
this association with history; and
WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the
Zoning Ordinance concerning notices, hearings, and other pro-
cedural matters has been fully complied with, now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS
That the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning map of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, be amended so that the property de-
scribed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof
shall be and the same is hereby designated as an Historical
District in conformance with the provision of Chapter 11,
Section 4, Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas.

cable)

By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirma-
tive vote of all the Council members present, the requirement
for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed
with.

FIELD NOTES OF THE ROUND ROCK"
FIELD NOTES describing a circular- shaped 0.0041 acre (176.7 square
feet) tract or parcel of land, out of the J. M. Harrell Survey, Ab-
stract No. 284, situated in the City of Round Rock, Williamson County,
Texas, being a description of The Round Rock ", a Texas Historical
Society Monument, and being comprised and consisting of the following
three (3) tracts:
1) a 0.0021 acre (90 square feet) portion of Chisholm Trail Road, a
public right -of -way;
2) a 0.0011 acre (48 square feet) portion of that certain 4.96 acre
Tract 1, conveyed to L. E. Scott by deed recorded in Volume 537, Page
335 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas;
3) a 0.0009 acre (39 square feet) portion of that certain 5.677 acre
tract conveyed to Edward D. Quick by deed recorded in Volume 599, Page
64 of said Deed Records; said three (3) tracts combined containing
0.0041 acres (176.7 square feet), and being more particularly described
by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING FOR REFERENCE at a point in the centerline of Brushy Creek,
being in the East right -of -way line of said Chisholm Trail Road, also
being the Southwest corner of said 4.96 acres and the Northwest corner
of said 5.677 acres, said point also being the center point (radius
point) of the hereinafter described circular tract, said point being
S19 ° 00'E, about 3,665 feet and S71 ° 00'W, about 645 feet from the North-
east corner of said J. M. Harrell Survey, Abstract No. 284; thence
along said East right -of -way line, being the West line of said 4.96
acres, also being a radial line hereof, N05 ° 54'W, 7.50 feet to a point
in the circumference of the hereinafter described circular- shaped tract
for the POINT OF BEGINNING hereof;
THENCE along the arc of a curve to the right having elements of delta =
360 ° 00', radius = 7.50 feet, arc (circumference) = 47.12 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING of the herein described tract containing 0.0041
acres or 176.7 square feet of land more or less.

that these field notes accurately represent the results of an on -the-
ground survey made under my direction and supervision on the 20th day
of February, 1981.
