O-82-1001 - 8/26/1982TEXAS ORDINANCE NO. /601 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO DESIGNATE 0.65 ACRES, HARRELL MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE WILL AMSON COUNTY, AS DESCRIBED BELOW, AS AN HISTORICAL DISTRICT AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission has re- quested that a study be made for the purpose of designating as an Historical District certain property, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed designation to the Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and report; and WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the designation as an Historical District of the above - described property, after holding a public hearing thereon on the 17th day of August , 19 82 ; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the above - described property is an area which has outstanding histori- cal and cultural significance and the buildings and other appurtenances located thereon are of basic and vital impor- tance for the development of culture and tourism because of this association with history; and WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the Zoning Ordinance concerning notices, hearings, and other pro - cedural matters has been fully complied with, now therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, That the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning map of the City of Round Rock, Texas, be amended so that the property de- scribed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof shall be and the same is hereby designated as an Historical District in conformance with the provision of Chapter 11, Section 4, Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas. (Mark through the following alternative that is not appli- cable) Alternative 1. By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirma- tive vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with. M. Harrell Survey, Abstract No. 284, in Williamson County, Texas, part of a tract of 1.04 acres described in a deed from Howard Bible to Olive C. Pettijohn, of record in Vol. 476, Page 646, Deed Records, Williamson County, Texas. Surveyed on the ground by W. F. Forest, Registered Public Surveyor #101, in May of 1969. BEGINNING at the NW corner of said 1.04 acre tract. THENCE N 77 ° 30'E 301 feet with a fence to an iron pipe in the West ROW line of Interstate Highway No. 35.
