O-82-805 - 6/10/1982ORDINANCE NO. c 2 5 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 78.83 ACRES OF LAND, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS. WHEREAS, in accordance with Art. 970a, V.A.T.S., two public hearings were held before the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, where all interested persons were provided an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexa- tion of the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, and WHEREAS, one of the public hearings was held within the area proposed to be annexed, on the 13th day of nay , 19 82 , and the other public hearing was held in the Council Chambers on thel3th day of May , 19 82; which hearing dates were not more than forty (40) days nor less than twenty (20) days prior to institution of annexation proceedings, and WHEREAS, notice of both public hearings was published in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas, on the 29th day of April , 19 82 which date is not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to each hearing. WHEREAS, the territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the present boundaries of the City of Round Rock, Texas; and WHEREAS, all requirements of the laws of the State of Texas and the Home Rule Charter of the City of Round Rock have been complied with; and WHEREAS, the territory above described contains 78.83 acres; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 1. The above described territory and the area so annexed shall be a part of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the inhabitants thereof, if any, shall be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of all the citizens and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City of Round Rock, Texas.
