ORDINANCE NO. /04/
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8, SECTION 6.D., CODE
OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, TO
PROVIDE FOR SIDEWALKS ON BOTH SIDES OF ALL STREETS
SERVING RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL PROPERTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
I.
That Chapter 8, Section 6.D. Code of Ordinances, City of
Round Rock, Texas, shall be amended to read as follows:
D. SIDEWALKS
Sidewalks shall be provided on both sides of all
streets adjacent to property zoned for
residential or commercial uses. Sidewalks shall
not be required on cul de sacs and along streets
adjacent to property zoned for industrial uses.
Sidewalks on major thoroughfares or collector
streets shall be forty -eight inches (48 ") wide.
Sidewalks on other streets shall be at least
forty -two inches (42 ") wide. Sidewalks shall be
located in the street right -of -way, the exact
location to be at the discretion of the Director
of Public Works. Where trees or other objects
block the course of the sidewalks the City
Building Inspector will locate and size the
sidewalk. Pedestrial ramps shall be required
where sidewalks meet curbs.
II.
A. The invalidity of any section or provision of this
ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions
thereof.
B. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions
in conflict herewith are expressly repealed.

for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed
with.
