AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11, SECTIONS
2.B.(4).(d)., 2.B.(4).(e)., and 2.B.(4).(f)., AND
ADDING SECTION 2.B.(h)., CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY
OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS BY REVISING THE LIST OF
THOROUGHFARES TO BE UPGRADED, BY REVISING THE LIST
OF NEW THOROUGHFARES TO BE ESTABLISHED, BY REVISING
THE LIST OF COLLECTOR STREETS TO BE ESTABLISHED,
AND BY ADOPTING AN OFFICIAL MAJOR THOROUGHFARE MAP.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
I.
That Chapter 11, Section 2.B.(4).(d). Code of Ordi-
nances, City of Round Rock, Texas, shall be amended by
changing the Section to read:
(d) The City shall consider the following roads and
highways as major thoroughfares, and the City
shall endeavor through the Capital Improvement
Program and land - development processes to
upgrade those major thoroughfares as needed and
in a timely manner:
a) Mays Street
b) U.S. Highway No. 79
c) Sunrise Road
d) Greenlawn Boulevard
e) F.M. 1460
f) Round Rock Avenue
g) F.M. 1325
h) County Road 170
i) Gattis School Road
j) Chandler Road
k) Westinghouse Road
1) F.M. 3406
m) East Main Street
n) McNeil Road
II.
That Chapter 11, Section 2.B.(4).(e). Code of Ordi-
nances, City of Round Rock, Texas, shall be amended by
changing the section to read:
(e)
The City shall establish through the Capital
Improvement Program and land - development
processes the following proposed new major
thoroughfares:
a) The extension of Sunrise Road to Westing-
house Road.
b) The extension of F.M. 3406 eastward to the
City's outer loop system.
c) The northeast segment of the City's outer
loop system from the intersection of the
abandoned MKT right -of -way and U.S. Highway
79, north along the abandoned MKT right -
of -way past the intersection of County Road
113, then generally north to the
intersection of County Road 112 and F.M.
1460.
d) The southeast segment of the City's outer
loop system from County Road 170 and I.H. 35
east and north to the intersection of the
abandoned MKT railroad and U.S. Hwy. 79.
e) The extension of Greenlawn Boulevard north
to east Main St.
f) The extension of Greenlawn Boulevard south
to County Rd. 170.

The southwest segment of the City's outer
loop system from the platted Creek Bend
Subdivision southward to F.M. 1325.
h) The northwest segment of the City's outer
loop system from the platted Creek Bend
Subdivision northward to the proposed F.M.
1431.
i) Realignment of U.S. Highway 81 to intersect
with the eastward extension of F.M. 3406.
The establishment of F.M. 1431 westward from
the Chandler Road overpass.
III.
That Chapter 11, Section 2.8.(4).(f). Code of
Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas, shall be amended by
changing the Section to read:
(f) The City shall establish through the Capital
Improvement Program and land - development
processes the following new collector streets:

a) Connecting Logan Drive with the southeast
segment of the City's outer loop system by
extending Logan Drive east from Greenlawn
Boulevard.
b) Connecting Deepwood Drive with R.M. 620 by
extending Deepwood Drive to the north.
c) Connecting Bowman Road with F.M. 1460 by
extending Bowman Road east from Sunrise Road.
d) Connecting Chaparral Drive with F.M. 3406 by
extending Chaparral Drive north from The
Hermitage subdivision.
e) Connecting County Road 172 with South Mays
Street by extending Hesters Crossing Road.
f) Connecting County Road 172 with the I.H. 35
facility by extending Chisholm Valley Drive.
g) Connecting Oxford Boulevard with Greenlawn
Boulevard.
h) Connecting Cushing Street with Lawnmont
Drive by extending School Days Lane.
i) Connecting Bowman Road with the proposed
F.M. 3406 by extending Mesa Park Drive.
j) Connecting Bowman Road with I.H. 35 by
extending Bowman Road west.
k) Connecting U.S. Highway 81 with the east
Frontage Road by extending Texas Avenue west.
1) Connecting Chisholm Trail Road with the west
Frontage Road by establishing a new
collector approximately midway between F.M.
3406 and Sam Bass Road.
m) Reconstructing County Road 172 as a
collector street.
n) Reconstructing Chisholm Trail north from Sam
Bass Road as a collector street.
IV.
That Chapter 11, Section 2.B.(4)., Code of Ordinances,
City of Round Rock, Texas, shall be amended by adding
subsection (h) as follows:
(h) The locations of the thoroughfares and
collector streets herein above established are
shown upon the Official Major Thoroughfare
Map, which is hereby incorporated and made a
part of this section as fully as if fully set
forth herein. It shall be the duty of the
Director of Planning to maintain the Official
Major Thoroughfare Map together with all
notations, references, and other information
shown thereon and all amendments thereto.

V.
A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions
in conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this
ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions
thereof.
