AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF
THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, ADOPTED IN CHAPTER 11,
SECTION 3.E.(2), CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF ROUND
ROCK, TEXAS AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE
SAID OFFICIAL ZONING MAP, TO -WIT: TO CHANGE 8.258
ACRES, MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE ASA THOMAS
SURVEY, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS
DESCRIBED BELOW FROM DISTRICT R -1 (LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL)
TO DISTRICT R -2 (MODERATE DENSITY
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Coun-
cil of the City of Round Rock, Texas to amend the Official
Zoning Map to change the zoning classification of the proper -.
ty described in Exhibit "A" from District R - (I nw DPncity
to District R -2 (Moderate Density
WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the requested
change in the Official Zoning -;dap to the
Commission for its recommendation and r t, and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoni Commission held a
public hearing concerning the requested "change on the 17th
Planning and Zoning
day of November , 19 83 , following lawful publication of
the notice of said public hearing, and
WHEREAS, after considering the public testimony received
at such hearing, the Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended that the Official Zoning Map be amended so that
the zoning classification of the above described property be
changed from District R -1 (Low Density Residential)
to District R -2 (Moderate Density Residential) , and
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of December , 1983 after
proper notification, the City Council held a public hearing
on the requested change, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that sub-
stantial changes in conditions have occurred which justify
the zoning classification change provided for herein, and
WHEREAS, the City Council determines that the zoning
classification change provided for herein promotes the
health, safety, morals and protects and preserves the general
welfare of the community, and
WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in Art.
1011a -f V.A.T.S. and Chapter 11, Section 3, Code of Ordi-
nances, City of Round Rock, Texas concerning public notices,
hearings, and other procedural matters has been fully
complied with, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS
I.
That the Official Zoning Map adopted in Chapter 11,
Section 3.E.(2), Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock,
Texas is hereby amended so that the zoning classification of
the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein is hereby changed from
Density Residential)
designated as District R -2 (Moderate Density Residential)
(Mark through the following alternative that is not appli-
cable)

By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirma-
tive vote of all the Council members present, the requirement
for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed
with.

FIELD NOTES FOR 8.258 ACRES
FIELD NOTES describing an 8.258 acre tract or parcel of land out of the Asa Tho-
mas Survey, Abstract No. 609, situated in Williamson County, Texas, being a por-
tion of the remainder of that certain 62.38 acres conveyed to Everett R. Moore
by deed recorded in Volume 816, Page 667 of the Deed Records of said County,
being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING FOR REFERENCE at an iron pin found in the fenced South right -of -way
line of Gattis School Road, being the Northeast corner of that certain 37.213
acres conveyed to Harry L. Silverman, Jr., and E. L. Kendrick by deed recorded
in Volume 920, Page 305 of said Deed Records and the Northwest corner of that
certain 1.297 acres conveyed to said Silverman and said Kendrick by deed record-
ed in Volume 937, Page 491 of said Deed Records, also being the Northwest corner
of said 62.38 acres, said point bears N87 590.6 feet from the Southeast
corner of the Wiley Harris Survey, Abstract No. 298, being an angle point in the
North line of said Asa Thomas Survey; thence along said fenced South right -of-
way line, being the North line of said 1.297 acres N86 ° 23'20 "E, 182.55 feet to
an iron pin found, being the Northeast corner of said 1.297 acres, being the
Northwest corner hereof;
THENCE along said fenced South right -of -way line, being the North line of said
62.38 acres, being the North line hereof, N86 ° 23'20 "E, 824.29 feet to an iron
pin found, being the Northeast corner of said 62.38 acres, being the Northeast
corner hereof;
THENCE along the fenced East line of said 62.38 acres, being the East line here-
of; the following two (2) courses:
1) 517'45'40 "E, 265.83 feet to an iron pin found, being an angle point hereof;
2) S17'46'E, 153.49 feet to the Southeast corner hereof;
THENCE along the South line hereof, S86 ° 23'20 "W, 905.77 feet to a Point of Cur-
vature and the Southwest corner hereof;
THENCE along the West line hereof, the following four (4) courses:
1) along the arc of a curve to the right having elements of delta = 36'05'17 ",
radius = 25.00 feet, arc = 15.75 feet, tangent = 8.14 feet, chord bearing and

4) along the arc of a curve to the right having elements of delta = 94 ° 45'20 ",
radius = 25.00 feet, arc = 41.34 feet, tangent = 27.17 feet, chord bearing and
chord = N39 ° 00'40 "E, 36.79 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of the herein describ-
