O-84-1092 - 8/9/1984WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission has
requested that a study be made for the purpose of designating
as an Historical District certain property, described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed
designation to the Planning and Zoning Commission for its
recommendation and report; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has approved
the designation as an Historical District of the above -
described property, after holding a public hearing thereon on
the 2nd day of August , 1984 ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the above -
described property is an area which has outstanding
historical and cultural significance and the buildings and
other appurtenances located thereon are of basic and vital
importance for the development of culture and tourism because
of this association with history; and
WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in the
Zoning Ordinance concerning notices, hearings, and other
procedural matters has been fully complied with, now therefore

THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ADOPTED IN CHAPTER
11, SECTION 3.E.(2), CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF
ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART
OF THE SAID OFFICIAL ZONING MAP, TO -WIT: TO DESIG-
NATE 32.9 ACRES MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE
JACOB M. HARRELL SURVEY, WILLIAM-
SON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED BELOW, AS AN
HISTORICAL DISTRICT.
That the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning map of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, be amended so that the property
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof shall be and the same is hereby designated as an
Historical District in conformance with the provision of
Chapter 11, Section 4, Code of Ordinances, City of Round
Rock, Texas.

BEGINNING AT A POINT being the intersection of the south right -of -way
line of Sam Bass Road and the west right -of -way line of Chisholm Trail;
THENCE with the west right -of -way line of Chisholm Trail in a southerly
direction for a distance of 1590 feet, more or less, to a point in the
centerline of Brushy Creek;
THENCE with said creek centerline in a westerly direction for a distance
of 140 feet, more or less, to a point in the east right -of -way line of the
Missouri - Pacific Railroad;
THENCE with said east railroad right -of -way line in a southerly direction
for a distance of 660 feet, more or less, to a point being the intersection
of the north right -of -way line of R.M. 620;
THENCE with said right -of -way line in a southeasterly direction for a
distance of 720 feet, more or less, to a point being the intersection of
the west right -of -way line of the west frontage road of Interstate Highway
35;
THENCE with said right -of -way line in a northerly direction for a distance
