AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN
BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING
OF 0.724 ACRES OF LAND, WHICH SAID TERRITORY
LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Art. 970a, V.A.T.S., two
public hearings were held before the City Council of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, where all interested persons were
provided an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexa-
tion of the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and made a part hereof, and
WHEREAS, one of the public hearings was held in the
Council Chambers on the 8th day of November
19 84 and the other public hearing was held in the Council
Chambers on the 20th day of November , 19 84 ; which
hearing dates were not more than forty (40) days nor less
than twenty (20) days prior to institution of annexation
proceedings, and
WHEREAS, notices of both public hearings were published in
a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round
Rock, Texas, on the 25th day of October and the 8th day of
November, 1984, which dates are not more than twenty (20) days
nor less than ten (10) days prior to the respective hearing, and
WHEREAS, the planning department has prepared a service
plan that provides for the extension of municipal services
into the territory to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, the territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the
present boundaries of the City of Round hock, Texas, and
WHEREAS, all requirements of the laws of the State of
Texas and the Home Rule Charter of the City of Round Rock
have been complied with, and
WHEREAS, the territory above described contains 0:724
acres; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS:
Section 1. The land and territory, described in Exhibit
"A ", which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, lying
adjacent to and adjoining the present boundaries of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby added and annexed to the City
of Round Rock, Texas, and said territory hereinafter
described shall hereafter be included within the boundary
limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the present
boundary limits of such city, at the various points
contiguous to the area hereinafter described, are altered and
amended so as to include said area within the corporate
limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas.
Section 2. The above described territory and the area so
annexed shall be a part of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and
the inhabitants thereof, if any, shall be entitled to all of
the rights and privileges of all the citizens and shall be
bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of
the City of Round Rock, Texas.
Section 3. The service plan providing for the extension
of municipal services into the territory to be annexed is
attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and such plan is hereby
adopted and approved.

FIELD NOTES describing a 0.724 acre tract or parcel of land, being
0.060 acre out of the David Curry Survey, Abstract No. 130 and 0.664
acre out of the George Glasscock Survey, Abstract No. 267, situated in
Williamson County, Texas, being a portion of Sunrise Road (County Road
No. 115), being more particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin found in the West right -of -way line of said
Sunrise Road and the present Round Rock city limit line, being an angle
point in the North line of that certain 4.65 acres retained by Joe
Morgan Saunders and wife, 011ie Lee Saunders as described in a deed
recorded in Volume 909, Page 5 of the Deed Records of said County, also
being the most Easterly Southeast corner of THE SETTLEMENT SECTION ONE
as shown on a Plat of Record in Cabinet F, Slide 78 -79, of the Plat
Records of said County, being the Southwest corner and POINT OF
BEGINNING of the hereinafter described 0.724 acre;
THENCE along said West right -of -way line and said city limit line,
being an East line of said Section One, being the West line hereof,
N19 ° 48'W, 60.28 feet to an iron pin found, being the Northeast corner
of David Curry Drive and the Southeast corner of a 2.511 acre Park, as
shown on said Section One, being the Northwest corner hereof;
THENCE departing said West right -of -way line, in an Easterly direction,
being a North line hereof, S84 ° 44'E, 64.31 feet to a point in the
fenced East right -of -way line of said Sunrise Road, being a point in a
South line of that certain 148.381 acre tract conveyed to Provident

The City of Round Rock, Texas will provide for the
extension of municipal services into the territory to be
annexed in accordance with the following schedule:
1. Police protection - immediately upon annexation.
2. Fire protection - immediately upon annexation.
3. Solid waste collection - immediately upon
annexation.
4. Maintenance of existing water and wastewater
facilities - immediately upon annexation.
5. Maintenance of existing public roads, streets
and street lighting - immediately upon annex-
ation.
6. Maintenance of existing public parks, play-
grounds, and swimming pools - immediately upon
annexation.
7. Maintenance of any existing publically owned
facility building or service within the
territory to be annexed - immediately upon
annexation.
8. Capital improvements sufficient for providing
municipal services for the subject tract are in
place such that the cost associated with the
extension of service lines to proposed building
sites within the tract will be borne by the
owner and /or developer.
