ORDINANCE NO. O ` .
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN
BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING
OF 141.463 ACRES OF LAND, WHICH SAID TERRITORY
LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Art. 970a, V.A.T.S., two
public hearings were held before the City Council of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, where all interested persons were
provided an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexa-
tion of the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and made a part hereof, and
WHEREAS, one of the public hearings was held in the
day of November
19 84 and the other public hearing was held in the Council
Chambers on the 20th day of November , 19 84 ; which
hearing dates were not more than forty (40) days nor less
than twenty (20) days prior to institution of annexation
proceedings, and
WHEREAS, notices of both public hearings were published in
a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round
Rock, Texas, on the 25th day of October and the 8th day of
November, 1984, which dates are not more than twenty (20) days
nor less than ten (10) days prior to the respective hearing, and
WHEREAS, the planning department has prepared a service
plan that provides for the extension of municipal services
into the territory to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, the territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the
present boundaries of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and
WHEREAS, all requirements of the laws of the State of
Texas and the Home Rule Charter of the City of Round Rock
have been complied with, and
WHEREAS, the territory above described contains 141.463
acres; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS:
Section 1. The land and territory, described in Exhibit
"A ", which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, lying
adjacent to and adjoining the present boundaries of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby added and annexed to the City
of Round Rock, Texas, and said territory hereinafter
described shall hereafter be included within the boundary
limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the present
boundary limits of such city, at the various points
contiguous to the area hereinafter described, are altered and
amended so as to include said area within the corporate
limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas.
Section 2. The above described territory and the area so
annexed shall be a part of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and
the inhabitants thereof, if any, shall be entitled to all of
the rights and privileges of all the citizens and shall be
bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of
the City of Round Rock, Texas.
Section 3. The service plan providing for the extension
of muricipal services into the territory to be annexed is
attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and such plan is hereby
adopted and approved.

tive vote of all the Council members present, the requirement

EXHIBIT "A" - TRACT FF
FIELD NOTES describing a 141.463 acre tract or parcel of land out of
the N.B. Anderson Survey, Abstract No. 29 and the Thomas Toby Survey,
Abstract No. 624, in Williamson County, Texas, being all of that
certain 120.000 acre tract conveyed to Edward Don Quick, Trustee in
Volume 781, Page 63 of the Deed Records of said County; also being part
of that certain 56.134 acre tract of land and part of that certain
55.846 acre tract of land conveyed to Edward Don Quick in Volume 785,
Page 667 and Volume 785, Page 652 respectively and being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a 60D nail set in the base of a disturbed concrete
monument found, from said monument the Southwest corner of said N.B.
Anderson Survey bears S20 59'48 "W, 4,184.90 feet, said monument being
the most Easterly Northeast corner of Vista Heights Section 6 -A
(Proposed), the Northwest corner of that certain 226.49 acre tract of
land described in Volume 305, Page 249 of the Deed Records of said
County, and the Northwest corner of said 120.000 acre tract of land
described in Volume 781, Page 63 of the Deed Records of said County for
the Northwest corner and POINT OF BEGINNING hereof;
THENCE with the North line of said 120.000 acres, for the North line
hereof, N70 54'09 "E, 1,398.15 feet pass the Northwest corner of said
56.134 acre tract, in all a distance of 1,828.80 feet to an iron pin
found for the Northeast corner hereof;
THENCE departing the North line of said 56.134 acre tract for the East
line hereof, the following seven (7) courses:
1) S21 33'19 "E, 2057.20 feet to a railroad spike found for the
Northwest corner of that certain 91.54 acre tract conveyed to
Charles Needham Avery in Volume 305, Page 228 of the Deed Records
of said County and an angle point in the East line hereof;

The City of Round Rock, Texas will provide for the
extension of municipal services into the territory to be
annexed in accordance with the following schedule:
1. Police protection - immediately upon annexation.
2. Fire protection - immediately upon annexation.
3. Solid waste collection - immediately upon
annexation.
4. Maintenance of existing water and wastewater
facilities - immediately upon annexation.
5. Maintenance of existing public roads, streets
and street lighting - immediately upon annex-
ation.
6. Maintenance of existing public parks, play-
grounds, and swimming pools - immediately upon
annexation.
7. Maintenance of any existing publically owned
facility building or service within the
territory to be annexed - immediately upon
annexation.
8. Capital improvements sufficient for providing
municipal services for the subject tract are in
place such that the cost associated with the
extension of service lines to proposed building
sites within the tract will be borne by the
owner and /or developer.
