AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8, SECTION 6(B)(3), CODE
OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, PERTAINING TO
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS AND STANDARDS FOR STREET WIDTH.
PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING
CONFLICTING ORDINANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND
ROCK, TEXAS,
That Chapter 8, Section 6(B)(3) of the Code of Ordinances,
City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows:
a) Major streets shall have a minimum dedicated
right -of -way of ninety feet (90') and a minimum
paving width of sixty feet (60').
b) Collector streets shall have a minimum dedicated
right -of -way of sixty feet (60') and a minimum
paving width of forty feet (40').
c) Minor or residential streets shall have a minimum
right -of -way of fifty feet (50') and a minimum
pavement width of thirty feet (30').
d) Minor streets having a right -of -way width of less
than one hundred foot (100') shall be increased to
a one hundred foot (100') right -of -way for a
distance of one hundred fifty (150') on either
side of any intersection with another major
street. The right -of -way shall be gradually and
uniformaly increased from the regular
right -of -way width to the one hundred foot (100')
width within an additional one hundred fifty feet
(150').

II.
A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in
conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this
ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions
thereof.

by increasing the right - of - way minimum for major streets from 80' right - of - way
to 90'.
This increase was recommended by the Planning and Zoning Commission.
