This is a project to provide dumpster enclosures in two alleyways just south of Main St. in downtown
Round Rock. This Phase 2 of the Downtown Dumpster Enclosures has one site on the west of S. Mays St.
(Project 1) behind Long Branch Saloon, and one site on the east side of S. Mays St. (Project 2) behind
Liberty BBQ. The project is meant to minimize illegal dumping and to provide for a cleaner alleyway.
On Project 2 behind Liberty BBQ, it was clear from the layout of the dumpster pad that there would be a
need for a privately -owned grease trap in the area of the dumpster pad layout to move. The most logical
location would be on the east side of the dumpster enclosure between two adjacent utility poles where a
sidewalk was designed to lead into the dumpsters. The sidewalk was not essential and would be stained by
the grease trap ultimately, so we deleted 5.5 feet of the sidewalk to leave only a landing at the door.
Change Order / Quantity Adjustment (CO/QA) No. 1 will add an additional four -inches to the dumpster pad
on Project 1 (Change Order increase of $676,00). The additional four -inches will provide the trash disposal
trucks additional clearance in the alleyway. This CO/QA also deletes 5.5 square yards of sidewalk on Project
2 (credit of $1,265.00) for a net credit to the contract of $589.
