ORDINANCE NO. /9o
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 12.16 ACRES OF LAND,
WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT
BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Art. 970a, V.A.T.S., two public hearings
were held before the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, where
all interested persons were provided an opportunity to be heard on the
proposed annexation of the property described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof, and
WHEREAS, the first of the public hearings was held in the City Council
Chamber, on the llth day of December , 1986 , and the second
public hearing was held in the Council Chambers on the 23rd day
of December , 19 86 ; which hearing dates were not more than
forty (40) days nor less than twenty (20) days prior to institution of
annexation proceedings, and
WHEREAS, Notice of both public hearings was published in a newspapaper
having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas on the 26th
day of November , 19 86 , and on the 8th day of December

1986 , which date is not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10)
days prior to each hearing, and
WHEREAS, the planning department has prepared a service plan that
provides for the extension of municipal services into the territory to be
annexed, and
WHEREAS, the territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the present
boundaries of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and
WHEREAS, all requirements of the laws of the State of Texas and the
Home Rule Charter of the City of Round Rock have been complied with, and
WHEREAS, the territory above described contains 12.16
acres; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS:
Section 1. The land and territory, described in Exhibit
"A ", which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, lying
adjacent to and adjoining the present boundaries of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby added and annexed to the City
of Round Rock, Texas, and said territory hereinafter
described shall hereafter be included within the boundary
limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the present
boundary limits of such city, at the various points
contiguous to the area hereinafter described, are altered and
amended so as to include said area within the corporate
limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas.
Section 2. The above described territory and the area so
annexed shall be a part of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and
the inhabitants thereof, if any, shall be entitled to all of
the rights and privileges of all the citizens and shall be
bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of
the City of Round Rock, Texas.
Section 3. The service plan providing for the extension
of municipal services into the territory to be annexed is
attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and such plan is hereby
adopted and approved.

By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirma-
tive vote of all the Council members present, the requirement
for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed
with.

CROSS TRAILS ANNEXATION
The City of Round Rock, Texas will provide for the
extension of municipal services into the territory to be
annexed in accordance with the following schedule:
1. Police protection - immediately upon annexation.
2. Fire protection - immediately upon annexation.
3. Solid waste collection - immediately upon
annexation.
4. Maintenance of existing water and wastewater
facilities - immediately upon annexation.
5. Maintenance of existing public roads, streets
and street lighting - immediately upon annex-
ation.
6. Maintenance of existing public parks, play-
grounds, and swimming pools - immediately upon
annexation.
7. Maintenance of any existing publically owned
facility building or service within the
territory to be annexed - immediately upon
annexation.
8. Capital improvements sufficient for providing
municipal services for the subject tract are in
place such that the cost associated with the
extension of service lines to proposed building
sites within the tract will be borne by the
owner and /or developer.

CROSS TRAILS SECTION ONE
FIELD NOTES describing a 33.098 acre tract or parcel of land out of the P.A.
Holder Survey. Abstract No. 297. situated in Williamson County, Texas, being a
portion of that certain 196.627 acres conveyed to M.B. Joint Venture by deed
recorded in Volume 1231, Page 186, of the Deed Records of said County, being
more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING FOR REFERENCE at the Southeast corner of said P.A. Holder Survey;
thence N01 °02'52 "W, 16.11 feet to an iron pin set being the Southeast corner of
said 196.627 acres also being the Southeast corner and POINT OF BEGINNING of
the hereinafter described 33.098 acres.
THENCE along the South line hereof, the following three (3) courses:
1) N89 °56'28 "W, 595.59 feet to an iron pin set, being an angle point hereof;
2) N89 °41'34 "W, 515.08 feet to an iron pin set, being an angle point hereof;
3) N89 °32'05 "W, 872.37 feet to an iron pin set in the fenced West line of said

ITEM: 4A - Consider an ordinance annexing Cross Trails Subdivision.
(First Reading)
This parcel contains approximately 12.16 acres and is generally situated along
Gattis School Road and east of Mokan right -of -way. In an earlier action,
(Gattis School Road annexation) the frontage of this tract was annexed. This
particular action concludes the annexation of Cross Trails subdivision, Section
One. A service plan is attached.
There have been no changes since the public hearings.
