O-89-1277 - 5/11/1989BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: I . That there has been full compliance with each and every requirement set forth in Section 211.001 - 211.007, Local Government Code, V.A.T.S. and Chapter 11,. Section 3, Code of Ordinance, City of Round Rock, Texas, regarding public notice, hearing and other procedural matters. II. That the Planning and Zoning Commission, after holding a public hearing on the 4th day of May, 1989, has recommended the deletion of the Historic District as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorported herein. That the Official Zoning Map as adopted in Chapter 11, Section 3.E.(2) is hereby amended to delete the Historic District designation from the area depicted in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein. IV. A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. B. Trail Historic District. (First Reading) ,. STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Joe Vining. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approval. This ordinance will repeal the Chisholm Trail Historic District in its entirety. It will eliminate the involvement of the Historic Preservation Commission in the development approval process. A second ordinance on tonights agenda will identify specific buildings in this area as historic landmarks to be protected by the Historic Preservation Commission. ECONOMIC IMPACT: No cost to the City. There is a potential for stimulated development in the area.
