O-89-1278 - 5/11/1989ORDINANCE NO. g 7f AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK ADOPTED IN CHAPTER 11, SECTION 3.E.(2), CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE SAID OFFICIAL ZONING MAP, TO -WIT: TO DESIGNATE ELEVEN (11) STRUCTURES, LOCATED ON NINE (9) PARCELS ALONG CHISHOLM TRAIL BETWEEN SAM BASS ROAD AND ROUND ROCK AVENUE, AS HISTORIC LANDMARKS AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. WHEREAS, the City Council has requested that a study be made for the purpose of designating as Historic Landmarks certain properties described in Exhibits „"A" through "I" attached hereto and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, two of the study properties are currently designated as Historic Districts and should be designated as Historic Landmarks; and WHEREAS, the City Council designation to the Planning and Zoning recommendation and report; and WHEREAS, the designation as properties after of May, 1989; and more properly has submitted the proposed Commission for its Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the Historic Landmarks of the above described holding a public hearing thereon on the 4thday WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the above described properties are in an area which has outstanding historical and cultural significance and the buildings and other appurtenances located thereon are of basic and vital importance for the development of culture and tourism because of this association with history; and WHEREAS, each and every requirement set forth in Section 211.001 - 211.007, Local Government Gode, V.A.T.S. and Chapter 11, Section 3, Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas concerning public notices, hearings, and other procedural matters has been fully complied with, NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,TEXAS I. That the Official Zoning Map adopted in Chapter 11, Section 3.E.(2), Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas is hereby amended so that the properties described in Exhibits "A ", "B ", "C ", "D ", "E ", "G ", and "H ", attached hereto and incorporated herein shall be designated as Historic Landmarks in conformance with the provisions of Chapter 11, Section 4, Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas; and II. That the Official Zoning Map adopted in Chapter 11, Section 3.E.(2), Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas is hereby amended so that the properties described in Exhibits "F" and "I" attached hereto and incorporated herein shall be repealed as Historic Districts and designated as Historic Landmarks in conformance with the provisions of Chapter 11, Section 4, Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas. e 3 4 ? This assures protection of specific historic buildings by the Historic Preservation Commission once the present historic district designation is removed. ECONOMIC IMPACT: No cost to the City.
