WHEREAS, in accordance with Art. 970a, V.A.T.S., two
public hearings were held before the City Council of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, where all interested persons were provided
an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the
property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a
part hereof, and
WHEREAS, the first of the public hearings was held in
the City Council Chamber, on the 20th day of April
19 89 , and the second public hearing was held in the Council
Chambers on the 27th day of April , 19 89
which hearing dates were not more than forty (40) days nor less
than twenty (20) days prior to institution of annexation
proceedings, and
WHEREAS, Notice of both public hearings was published in
a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round
Rock, Texas on the 10th day of April , 19 89

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS:
Section 1. The land and territory, described in Exhibit
"A ", which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, lying
adjacent to and adjoining the present boundaries of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby added and annexed to the City
of Round Rock, Texas, and said territory hereinafter described
shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the
City of Round Rock, Texas, and the present boundary limits
of such city, at the various points contiguous to the area
hereinafter described, are altered and amended so as to
include said area within the corporate limits of the City of
Round Rock, Texas.
Section 2. The above described territory and the area
so annexed shall be a part of the City of Round Rock, Texas,
and the inhabitants thereof, if any, shall be entitled to all
of the rights and privileges of all the citizens and shall
be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations
of the City of Round Rock, Texas.
Section 3. The service plan providing for the extension
of municipal services into the territory to be annexed is
attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and such plan is hereby
adopted and approved.

Alternative 1.
By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative
vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for
reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed

The City of Round Rock, Texas will provide for the extension of
municipal services into the territory to be annexed in compliance with
Chapter 43, Subchapter C. - Annexation Procedure, of Vernon's Texas
Codes Annotated, 1988, and in accordance with the following schedule:
1.) WATER SERVICE: Currently is to be provided by the City of
Round Rock from the Hwy. 79 water main.
2.) WASTEWATER SERVI CE: Interim service to be provided by septic
tank pressure dose systems until the
Chandler Creek Interceptor is built.
3.) Fire Protection: Provided immediately upon annexation. No
additional staff required to serve existing
development.
4.) POLICE PROTECTION: Provided immediately upon annexation. No
additional staff required to serve existing
development.
5.) MAINTENANCE OF EXISTING PUBLIC FACILITIES - --
A.) ROADWAYS: All costs covered by normally budgeted
city -wide maintenance funds.
B.) PARK FACILITIES: All costs covered by normally budgeted park
maintenance funds.
C.) PUBLIC BUILDINGS: Not applicable.
D.) UTILITIES: Not applicable.
6.) SOLID WASTE: Solid waste collection provided twice a
week by a private contractor currently
retained by the City of Round Rock.
7.) CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS REQUIRED - --

funds.
