U Forest Creek Golf Course (Portion) Annexation Title AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 15.25 ACRES OF LAND, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS. WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 43.052 of the Local Government Code, two public hearings were held before the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, where all interested persons were provided an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, and WHEREAS, the first of the public hearings was held in the City Council Chamber, on the 8th day of November , 1990, and the second public hearing was held in the Council Chambers on the 15th day of November , 1990 ; which hearing dates were not more than forty (40) days nor less than twenty (20) days prior to institution of annexation proceedings, and WHEREAS, Notice of both public hearings was published in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas on the 29th day of October , 1990 , which date is not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to each hearings, and WHEREAS, the Planning Department has prepared a service plan that provides for the extension of municipal service into the territory to be annexed, and WHEREAS, the territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the present boundaries of the City Round Rock, Texas, and WHEREAS, all requirements of the laws of the State of Texas and the Home Rule Charter of the City of Round Rock have been complied with, and VOL 1974PHa907 Forest Creek Golf Course (Portion) Annexation Title WHEREAS, the territory above described contains 15.25 acres, now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 1. STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Joe Vining STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approval This annexation consists of 15.25 acres of city owned land. It is being annexed to allow the city to provide city police and fire protection.
