AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN
BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AND
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 50.06
ACRES OF LAND, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND
ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND
ROCK, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 43.052 of the Local Government Code,
two public hearings were held before the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas,
where all interested persons were provided an opportunity to be heard on the proposed
annexation of the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof, and
WHEREAS, the first of the public hearings was held in the City Council Chamber
on the 12th day of November, 1992 and the second public hearing was held in the
Council Chambers on the 19th day of November, 1992; which hearing dates were not
more than forty (40) days nor less than twenty (20) days prior to institution of
annexation proceedings, and
WHEREAS, notice of both public hearings was published in a newspaper having
general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas on the 26th day of October, 1992
and on the 5th day of November, 1992, which dates are not more than twenty (20) days
nor less than ten (10) days prior to each hearing, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has prepared a service plan that provides
for the extension of municipal service into the territory to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, the territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the present boundaries of
the City of Round Rock, Texas, and

WHEREAS, all requirements of the laws of the State of Texas and the Home
Rule Charter of the City of Round Rock, Texas have been complied with, and
WHEREAS, the territory above described contains 50.06 acres, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS
THAT:
Section 1. The land and territory, described in Exhibit "A" which is attached
hereto and made a part hereof, lying adjacent to and adjoining the present boundaries
of the City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby added and annexed to the City of Round
Rock, Texas, and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included within
the boundary limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, and present boundary limits of
such city, at the various points contiguous to the area hereinafter described, are altered
and amended so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Round
Rock, Texas.
Section 2. The above described territory and the area so annexed shall be a part of
the City of Round Rock, Texas, and the inhabitants thereof, if any, shall be entitled to all
of the rights and privileges of all the citizens and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances,
resolutions and regulations of the City of Round Rock, Texas.
Section 3. The service plan providing for the extension of municipal services
into the territory to be annexed is attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and such plan is hereby
adopted and approved.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be effective as of 11:59 o'clock p.m. on December
31,1993.

BEGINNING at a point on the original east right -of -way line of County

LAND USE AND PROVISION OF SERVICES
LAND USE: Single Family Residential - Large Lot
PROPOSED ZONING: SF -1 Large Lot Single Family Residential
PROVISION OF SERVICES: The City of Round Rock, Texas will provide for the
extension of municipal services into the territory to be annexed in compliance with
Chapter 43, Subchapter C. - Annexation Procedures, of the Texas Local Government
Code, 1992, and in accordance with the following schedule:
1.) Water Service: Water service is currently provided, and will continue to be
provided, through the Round Rock Water Supply Corporation to Oak Bluff
Estates Phase I and II. The City of Round Rock water main along County Road
122 will have sufficient capacity to service Oak Bluff Estates Phase I and II, and
may be utilized after an agreement is finalized with the City of Round Rock.
2.) Wastewater Service: Wastewater service is currently provided, and will
continue to be provided, through the Round Rock Water Supply Corporation, to
Oak Bluff Estates Phase I and II with treatment provided by the City of Round
Rock. Any homes currently utilizing septic systems are considered to have like
services as specified under Subchapter C. - Annexation Procedures, of the Texas
Local Government Code, 1992. Such properties may connect to the nearest
wastewater collector as specified by the Round Rock Water Supply Corporation.
3.) Fire Protection: Provided by the Round Rock Fire Department immediately
upon annexation_
4.) Police Protection: Provided by the Round Rock Police Department immediately
upon annexation.
5.) Maintenance of Existing Public Facilities: Unless specified under other
contracts, plat notes, or separate instrument, all maintenance of public facilities is
covered by normally budgeted city -wide maintenance funds_
A.) Water and wastewater infrastructure covered through the Round Rock
Water Supply Corporation.
B_) Public streets and easements dedicated for public use - covered by normally
budgeted city -wide maintenance funds.
C.) Wastewater treatment facilities - covered by normally budgeted city -wide
maintenance funds.
D.) Solid waste collection provided by Round Rock Refuse, a private
contractor retained by the City of Round Rock. Residents currently
contracting with other solid waste collectors may continue for up to six
months from the date of annexation before switching to Round Rock
Refuse. All new housing to begin service with Round Rock Refuse.
Municipal services shall be provided to a level equivalent to similar land uses
throughout the city. All required capital improvements shall be extended to a point
accessible by the annexed tract. All line extensions to on -site buildings shall be borne by
the owner /developer.
