HARRELL SURVEY, ABSTRACT 284, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS. That the City Secretary is hereby directed and authorized to file a certified copy of this Ordinance in the Office of the County Clerk of Williamson County, Texas. IX. If any section, subsection, sentence, phrase, or word of this Ordinance be found to be illegal, invalid or unconstitutional or if any portion of said property is incapable of being annexed by the City, for any reason whatsoever, the adjudication shall not affect any other section, sentence, phrase, work, paragraph or provision of this Ordinance or the application of any other section, sentence, phrase, work, paragraph or provision of any other Ordinance of the City. The City Council declares that it would have adopted the valid portions and applications of this Ordinance and would have annexed the valid property without the invalid part, and to this end the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable. 3 VOL 22 J6P A. Consider an ordinance on the proposed annexation of 9.00 acres of land out of the J.M. Harrell Survey, Abstract 284 (Round Rock Hospital). (Second Reading) STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Joe Vining STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approval This voluntary annexation consists of a 9 acre tract of land which is adjacent to the Round Rock Hospital. The purpose of the annexation is to expand the existing medical center. This development tract was recommended for C -1 (General Commercial) original zoning by the Planning and Zoning Commission on February 18, 1993. ECONOMIC IMPACT: Construction on the new medical center tentatively scheduled to start in the latter part of 1993.
