DATE: January 25, 1994 SUBJECT: City Council Meeting, January 27, 1994 ITEM: 8.D. Consider an ordinance amending Chapter 11 (Zoning Ordinance) to provide for one additional alternate member and the initial term of office to the Development Review Board. (First Reading) STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Joe Vining STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approval The Local Government Code now allows as many as four alternates. Currently, the City of Round Rock has three. This proposal would add the fourth alternate and would serve to secure a quorum in spite of professional conflicts. On January 6, 1994, the Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing and then unanimously voted to recommend approval of the zoning text change.
