TO CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES

PROJECT: CR 112 Improvements from A.W. Grimes Boulevard to CR 117
This Supplemental Contract No. 2 to Contract for Engineering Services is made by and between
the City of Round Rock, Texas, hereinafter called the "City" and RPS Infrastructure, Inc.,
hereinafter called the "Engineer".
WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed a Contract for Engineering Services, hereinafter
called the "Contract," on the 5th day of December, 2019 for the CR 112 Improvements from
A.W. Grimes Boulevard to CR 117 Project in the amount of $347,442.39; and
WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed Supplemental Contract No. 1 on July 22, 2021 to
amend the scope of services and to increase the compensation by $663,281.84 to a total of
$1,010,724.23; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to amend the Contract to modify the provisions for the
scope of services and to increase the compensation by $38,850.00 to a total of $1,049,574.23;
NOW THEREFORE, premises considered, the City and the Engineer agree that said Contract
is amended as follows:
Article 2, Engineering Services and Exhibit B, Engineering Services shall be amended as set
forth in the attached Addendum to Exhibit B. Exhibit C, Work Schedule shall be amended as set
forth in the attached Addendum to Exhibit C.
Article 4, Compensation and Exhibit D, Fee Schedule shall be amended by increasing by
$38,850.00 the lump sum amount payable under the Contract for a total of $1,049,574.23, as
shown by the attached Addendum to Exhibit D.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City and the Engineer have executed this Supplemental
Contract in duplicate.

The roadway improvements for CR 112 from A.W. Grimes Blvd to approximately 400'
east of CR 117 are to widen this 1.18-mile section from a two-lane roadway to six -lane
divided roadway and add pedestrian facilities. The City's Transportation Master Plan
indicates this section of CR 112 should be enhanced to six -lanes.
This supplemental is for additional design and analysis to accommodate modifications for
an adjacent development and two future roadways that will intersect with CR 112.
The additional work required is described below according to each task to be performed.
RIGHT-OF-WAY DATA (FC 130)
A. Utility Accommodation: The ENGINEER will include up to four (4) utility sleeves
to accommodate utilities. The location and elevation of the sleeves will be provided
by the developer's engineer.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT (FC 145)
A. Managing Contracted Services (Project Management)
a. Coordination with CITY: The ENGINEER will coordinate with the
CITY to accommodate changes in the design plans and analysis for the
future cross streets to complete the project.

A. Cross Streets: The ENGINEER shall provide an intersection layout detailing the
pavement design and drainage design at the intersection of each cross street. The
layout shall include the horizontal and vertical alignments, curb returns, grading,
transition length, stationing, pavement, drainage details, and American with
Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) compliance items. The
ENGINEER shall design for full pavement width to the ROW and provide a
transition to the existing roadway.
B. Cut and Fill Quantities: The ENGINEER shall update the roadway model and
develop an earthwork analysis to determine cut and fill quantities and provide final
design cross sections at 100 feet intervals. Cross sections shall be delivered in
standard GEOPAK format on 11"x17" sheets or roll plots and electronic files. The
ENGINEER shall update cut and fill calculations and quantities related to the impact
of the development roadways and turn bays.
DRAINAGE (FC 1611
A. Drainage Area Maps (External & Internal): The ENGINEER will update the
drainage area map to include the right turn bays and potential impact from
development.
B. Storm Sewer Hydraulic Tables: The ENGINEER will update hydraulic data using
Geopak Drainage software for the proposed storm sewer system. The storm system
will be designed for the 25-year event per the approved design criteria.
SIGNING AND PAVEMENT MARKING (FC 162)
A. Signing: The ENGINEER shall include signs for the right turn bays, update the
signing layouts, and revise the sign summary sheet accordingly.
B. Pavement Marking: The ENGINEER shall update the striping plan and layouts to
accommodate the roadways tie-ins and right turn bays.
MISCELLANEOUS (FC 163)
A. Traffic Control Plan, Detours, Sequence of Construction: The ENGINEER shall
update the Traffic Control Plans (TCP) for the project to provide continuous access to
the new roadways to the development.
B. Illumination: The ENGINEER will update the illumination design impacted by the
right turn lanes including updating illumination layouts and lighting detail sheets
C. Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SW3P): The ENGINEER shall update the
SW3P sheets to accommodate the new cross streets and turn lanes.

D. Compute and Tabulate Quantities: The ENGINEER shall update the summaries
and quantities within all formal submittals.
E. Estimate: The ENGINEER shall update and report quantities necessary in standard
State bid format for the remaining milestones and Final PS&E submittals.
F. Construction Schedule: The Engineer shall update the construction time
determination schedule to include the additional cross streets and turn lane
construction.
G. Utility Investigation/Coordination: The ENGINEER will reevaluate the impact of
the development roadways to existing utilities and the proposed roadway
improvements including the identification of new utility conflicts, coordination,
compliance with the UAR, and resolution of identified utility conflicts.

This engineering agreement with RPS Infrastructure, Inc. is for the proposed roadway improvements for CR
112 from A.W. Grimes Blvd to approximately 400' east of CR 117 and to widen this 1.18-mile section from
a two-lane roadway to six -lane divided roadway and add pedestrian facilities.
The proposed roadway improvements include widening the existing limits to a six -lane divided urban
roadway. The design is for a six -lane divided roadway. Curb and gutter and a drainage pipe system are
anticipated to accommodate drainage needs. A 10-foot shared use path is proposed on one side of the
roadway and a 6-foot sidewalk on the other. ROW will be required and is to come predominately from the
north side of the roadway.
This agreement includes the development of the schematic and 30% PS&E. The cost of this work is
$347,442.39.
Supplemental #1 was for additional engineering services to design and full set of PS&E plans. This
supplemental was for $663.281.89. Total contract price is $ 1,010,724.23.
Supplemental Agreement #2 is for additional engineering services to design and analysis to accommodate
modifications for an adjacent development and two future roadways that will intersect with CR 112. This
supplemental is in the amount of $38,850.00. The total contract price is now $1,049,574.23.
